He’s God-Fearing, But Still Not Your Husband—Here’s WhyBy Kay Daniels
1. Godliness Alone Isn’t Enough
Scripture Reference: Amos 3:3 (KJV)
“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”
Yes, he prays, quotes Scripture, and serves in church.
But these traits, while commendable, don’t automatically make him your divine partner.
Shared faith is foundational, but alignment in calling, timing, and purpose is equally critical.
A man can fear God and still not be assigned to your destiny.
2. Character + Calling = Clarity
Scripture Reference: Proverbs 19:21 (NIV)
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
Godliness without alignment leads to frustration.
A man may have strong character, but if his calling doesn’t complement yours, the relationship will lack divine synergy.
Marriage isn’t just about loving God—it’s about walking together in shared vision (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).
3. Beware of Spiritualized Red Flags
Scripture Reference: 1 Corinthians 14:33 (KJV)
“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.”
Don’t dismiss:
Misaligned values masked by spiritual language.
Emotional immaturity disguised as “faith.”
A lingering lack of peace when forcing the connection.
God’s partnerships bring order, not chaos.
If you’re constantly uneasy, pause and seek clarity.
4. Sent by God, Not Just Serving God
Scripture Reference: Genesis 2:22 (NIV)
“Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.”
A God-fearing man isn’t necessarily your man.
Divine connection is intentional—God brings you together (Song of Solomon 8:4).
Wait for the one who doesn’t just love God but is sent to love you in alignment with His plan.
Final Thought: Test the Spirit
Scripture Reference: 1 John 4:1 (KJV)
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God.”
Ask:
Did God confirm this? Or am I assuming based on potential?
Is there fruit of peace?
Or am I striving to make it work?
Does he complement my purpose?
Or are we spiritually mismatched?
Wait for God’s best—not just good.
