THE YEAR 2011 IN PROPHESY
The Centre for creative youth international ministries was established by revelation on the 14th of August 2002 and commissioned on the 22nd January 2005. Our vision is to raise a new breed of youths, leaders and entrepreneurs via kingdom truths, capacity building and attitude development. We have a passion to reach out to souls with the gospel of Christ in a more simplistic and professional manner that would aid the understanding of young people. Over the years, God has led us in the light of the great commissions like the living faith church and the Bahamas faith ministries. Dr David Oyedepo and Dr Myles Munroe have both served as great inspirations for our ministry. They are great influences that have helped shape our mental disposition.
As a child from a broken home and not having anyone to interact with since I was not regarded intelligent by my father. He constantly compared me with my brother and would say all manner of unprintable things that damaged my self esteem. He made it look as though I could not think or have anything good come out of me. It pained me, but helped me make a resolution to prove him wrong. I wanted to show him and his friends that something great could come out of me. That I was not a blocked head. The more I tried to do well in school the more frustrated I became because of my grades. In the year 1990, I had an unusual encounter with the spirit of God as a teenager. I constantly felt someone speaking to me. He constantly led me to do my homework and guided me through the secondary school without having to fall into the hands of bad companies who constantly tried to lure me into their group. When I gained admission into the university and rededicated my life to Christ at the living faith Church Bauchi, my understanding opened up and I discovered the person of the Holy Spirit. The stories of Dr Oyedepo on his discovery of the person of the Holy Spirit after reading a book fired up my passion for reading. I came across a book in my grand father’s box titled Self Motivation. As a teenager, this book helped me understand the great potential stored up in me. It also made me realize that I could achieve my dreams irrespective of who believes in me. It sparked up a close friendship with the Holy Spirit. I saw him as my only true friend. I spoke with me and taught me a lot of things. That was how I ventured into the world of creativity. When I have a problem and I table it before Him, in no time, the ideas to go around that problem emerge. I saw myself thinking through difficult situations. All through the university, it kept helping me in tough situations. Every time I got myself mixed up with unhealthy relationships, He walked me out of them by Himself. I found my way around towns and cities in the north looking for souls to bless by the leading of the Holy Spirit. In the year 2000, I began to see myself reaching out to millions of young people with similar backgrounds of rejection and loneliness. It was not too long before the Holy Spirit inspired me to start writing motivational scripts and past on the wall of my school. I later thought of beginning a small group, but I lacked the personal belief and confidence that I could reach to a crowd. I was too shy. I consulted with the Holy Spirit and He pointed to the living faith Church. Suddenly, a light broke forth and I began to write. When I finished, I discovered it was a vision of a Christian Campus fellowship to be known as Covenant friends. I wondered what covenant friends had to do with winner’s chapel. During the break I attended the Word of faith Bible Institute in 2001. The Bishops anointing opened up my eyes and I began to see the possibility of having the commission bless more lives on campuses. It came to pass that on a certain day in an impartation service, as I approached the Bishop, I told God, “whatever is in Bishop David Oyedepo that makes him bold and strong as well as self confident, I need it.” Immediately his hand rested on my head, I knew immediately that I got it. As I walked out of the auditorium, the Holy Spirit said, “now you have all the confidence you need, go back to school and do exploit.” The shy me was dead and a bolder, more confident me was born instantly. We started the fellowship amidst opposition, criticism, attacks etc. Other campus leaders and pastors said I was not qualified, but I discovered that God does not call the qualified, He qualified the called. The Holy Spirit also encouraged me by constantly saying, “When God glorifies you, men have no choice but to honour you.” The fellowship grew supernaturally. In 2002, as I was studying in one of the cafeterias in the school, I had the voice of the Holy Spirit saying, “The continent of Africa is presently undergoing a socio – spiritual reformation that would culminate in the economic, political, and technological revival of this great continent. A new breed of youths the world has never seen before are rising from this continent beginning with Nigeria as the trigger of this maximum impact. With the tools of creativity, the African youth would restore the dignity of the continent of Africa. The harvest of Africa has never been more ripe.”
Subsequently, the following scriptures supernaturally opened up to me:
…………a great people and a strong: there hath never been the like, neither shall there be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. Joel 2: 2-12
And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: they shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and they shall be called, the repairer of the breach,
the restorer of paths to dwell in. Isa 58:12.
And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolation of many generations. Isa 61: 4
And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau;
and the kingdom shall be the Lord’s. Obadiah 21.
This resulted in a socio – spiritual group known as the Impact Makers. This group targeted students that would naturally not attend Christian gatherings but needed help. With the wisdom of God, the group helped many students find their way to the kingdom. After my graduation from the university, I proceeded to my one year youth service. Right there in Owerri Imo State, one of the members of the winners’ campus fellowship I was privileged to pioneer on my campus was the president of the Winners Corpers fellowship Owerri Chapter. At my arrival, I pioneered the fellowship at the orientation camp and as God would have it, I was posted to Owerri, the state capital. The baton of leadership as the president of the Owerri Chapter was passed over to me.
In 2003, while on service, the Holy Spirit made me understand that it was time for transformation. It was time to reach out to the larger world. The group Impact Makers then metamorphosed to what is today known as the Centre for Creative Youth International Ministries. Our primary assignment is to promote creativity (a walk in the spirit), Integrity (Character) and Excellence (Attitude & Capacity).
In 2005, January 22nd at the Plaza Hotel Ota, the ministry was commissioned. Afterwards series of seminars and training programmes commenced. The Holy Spirit did not depart; rather He kept guiding us each year with a prophetic target. In 2009, He made us advance by the word unto greater opportunities and in 2010; it was our NEW LEVEL 2010. Indeed 2010 have answered to its name. According to Dr Myles Munroe, “faith develops more at the instance of great challenges. The greater the challenge, the stronger the faith.” Every new level is faith determined. In other words, the rise of storms is to test our faith. God will always test what He feels is strong enough. Tests reveal what God has finished in us. Test reveals strength of faith. This was our experience all through 2010. No doubt, our faith has tremendously increased. We saw the frailty of trusting in man and the superiority of trusting in God alone. God is faithful. 2011 is just behind the corner and the Holy Spirit has yet opened us up to what lies ahead.
HIGHER LIGHT 2011
Isaiah 60:1-3 reveals that the world is bound to experience darkness, and people gross darkness. That was the same case in the beginning. Before the emergence of this beautiful world we live in today, darkness ruled. The irony was that, God created the heaven and the earth and earth was without form and void and darkness reigned. God is light and in Him no darkness, so where did darkness come from? No matter whom you are, darkness would always want to challenge your authority. The first thing God thrashed was darkness. He said let there be light. What is darkness? Darkness is spiritual ignorance. It is lacking the understanding of the ways of the spirit. What then is light? Light is spiritual understanding. Why light? Light is necessary because the world is at the moment under the oppression of darkness. Dark forces are creeping into families, schools, companies, churches, governments etc. People no longer value spiritual understanding. Lack of spiritual understanding is lack of faith. Where faith stops is where exploits stop. The just shall live by his faith. The implication of this is that the without faith, all that remains is death. Jesus expresses his fear of the extinction of faith. Any generation that plays down on faith is bound to fail. Faith is at the root of all known exploit. Parents are failing in their responsibilities to their kids, while kids are becoming wayward. Christian homes built on an everlasting covenant is been cracked. Anointed men losing their wives. Youths in the kingdom are experiencing delay in getting married. Corruption is rampant in every sector of the economy. Ritual killings, kidnapping, divorce, arms trafficking, bankruptcy etc are on the increase. All these because of inadequate light making people lose their faith.
The next generation needs to be salvaged. How do we build faith?
In the year 2011, our focus is on generating enough light for stronger faith. Stronger faith for greater exploits. The brighter we see, the brighter our chances at developing faith. Seeing what? Seeing the light of scriptures.
And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book,
He found the place where it was written, Luke 4:17
He held a book to read and found where it was written something about him. In our quest for developing faith, we need discover what has been written about us. Faith grows with findings. What you find is what you see, and what you see is what grows your faith. God’s word is the principal tool for growing faith.
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. Psalm 119:130
Faith is spiritual understanding and light is spiritual knowledge. The entrance of spiritual knowledge gives birth to spiritual understanding. The entrance of light is the birth of faith. This end time would require young people building practical faith capacity to deal with the issues confronting our generation. This will not come merely by developing academic knowledge but by accessing spiritual knowledge culminating spiritual understanding. Our generation needs a higher dimension of faith if it must move to the next level. The African youth needs faith now more than any other generation in history. Joel 2 revels that we are the ultimate generation. This is why we must go after higher depths. Enough of swimming in shallow waters, scratching the surface and living mediocre lives. It is time for focus, integrity, honesty, excellence, vision, sound spirituality and faith. It is time to take our destinies in our hands and pay the price for greatness. As a ministry, we are set to go all out and deliver the mandate given to us. Our mandate is a later rain mandate. The former ended with where Jesus closed the book Luke 4:19-21 with preaching. It was reopened in Isaiah 61: 4. We are moving from preaching to reforming. We are moving from talking to working. We are moving from confessing to professing. We are moving from theories to practical. We are moving from mysteries to revelations. We are moving the gospel out of church walls to the society. We have a mission to the schools, markets and workplaces. Our mission is to re-introduce faith for exploits. Enough of groping in the dark, it is time to engage the instrument called Light. This is not just academic light but a HIGHER LIGHT – faith! On behalf of the Lord Jesus Christ our Chairman, the Holy Spirit our senior partner, the advisory board and members of the executive I welcome you to HIGHER LIGHT 2011.
Details of our programmes for 2011 would be released after our retreat between the 22nd and 24th of December 2010.
