ORIGIN OF THE SPIRIT

Pst. Daniel Kayode Jacobs
The bible records that in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth, but that the world was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. Two things were created – the heaven and the earth. One was said to be without form, void and dark. This means that the other was with form, abundant and had light. Wherever God was located before he created heaven and earth must have all that was stored up in heaven in it originally. If by a way of assumption, we agree that God before creating heaven and earth dwelt in eternity then it safe to assume that all that was loaded in heaven was originally in eternity. As it were heaven was a store house and still is.
God simply concentrated in one place all that was in eternity, and called that place heaven, for onward transmission to the void region called earth. What baffled me is the fact that the creator could have simply transported eternity to earth directly instead of the stopover in heaven. To say the truth, this thought has stayed with me for close to a decade now.
The flash of inspiration came to me and I realized that the verse I quoted at the beginning of this chapter was not complete, for it went on to say that “the Spirit of the Lord moved upon the face of the waters”. Whao! There was creation, but within creation was the Spirit. The creator encountered an “eternal” law while creating heaven and earth.
Please take note of a fundamental truth, the creator is an eternal being and therefore is subject to eternal laws and principles. These laws and principles govern his operation within the timeless regions where he lives.
While in the process of creation, he encountered an eternal law that governs the activity of transfer. Heaven is the concentration of all of the glory and splendor of the creator in one place. The convergence of eternal virtues is what constitutes heaven. Earth is a portion carved out of eternity which is why it is governed by time.
To therefore transport glory from the timeless to time required that a law be obeyed. In between the timeless and time was the moving Spirit of the Lord. Whatever must leave heaven to earth must be transported by this “moving Spirit”. When this Spirit is activated, it goes into the mind of the creator to locate the exact positioning and then picks it for onward pasting on the earth.
This principles ensured that the creator activate the “Spirit” before anything could be transported from heaven to earth. The key to activation was the spoken word. The Creator said, “let there be light…”, the Spirit quickly went into the mind of the creator, located the exact positioning and then switched on the light. This particular light was not natural light, rather it is inspirational – spirit activated light. Why I say so is because, the creator later on created other lights – the sun, moon and stars.
