Hebrews 11:21
LIMPING today makes you lean tomorrow.
Jacob limped and Paul limped, so is every other person. Everyone limps in one area or the other in their life.
Never allow people belittle you because you are limping, just make sure that you do not lay down. Inspite of your limping, you will surely arrive on time.
You might be limping by faith, but grace would make your expectations to run to you.
Your limping is a proof of your absolute dependency on God (extravagant grace).
And Jacob was left alone. And a man wrestled with him until daybreak. And when he saw that he was not overpowering Jacob, he touched the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh became out of joint, as he wrestled with him. And he said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak”. And Jacob said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me”.
And he said to him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Jacob”. And he said, “Your name will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for as a prince you have power with God and with men, and have prevailed”. And Jacob asked him, saying, “Please tell me your name”. And he said, “Why is it that you are asking about my name?” And he blessed him there. And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, saying, “For I saw God face to face, and my life was preserved”. And as he passed by Peniel the sun rose on him, and he limped on his thigh. Genesis 32:24-31
To limp is God's way of making you run your own race at his own pace so you don't compare yourself with others.
When God makes you limp, it is so that you are neither moving too fast or too slow.
When you limp, you lean absolutely on God's grace.
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace which was granted to me was not in vain, for I laboured far more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. 1 Corinthians 15:10
Paul's limp was a function of the torture he got from his past.
For I am the least of the apostles, and am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
1 Corinthians 15:9
To experience God's extravagant grace, you must learn to lean absolutely on God and never lean on your own understanding.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6
I decree and declare that as you place your absolute trust on God you will arrive at your destination in Grand style. Nothing shall offend or steal your peace. Your joy would make everything around you to blossom in Jesus name.
Have a wonderful Tuesday in the presence of God. Stay wordspired.
