THE FAULT OF FAILURE AND THE FOUNDATION OF SUCCESS

THE FAULT OF FAILURE AND THE FOUNDATION OF SUCCESS

> “Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.”
— Proverbs 24:27

If you fail, it is your fault; if you succeed, it is also your fault. Life answers to responsibility — your outcome is a product of your choices, not your excuses.

People who fail are often those never committed to anything. Tireless commitment to your course is the key to success. Every great destiny requires a price in diligence, focus, and consistency.

Many who later became wise first appeared foolish. The people who now command dominion were once despised. Some seemed unreasonable before they became enviable. Others appeared crazy but were simply driven by vision — men on their way to the throne. You may first appear mad before you get made.

You may begin as a barber, but if you stay true to your course, you will one day become an acclaimed reference.

You fail when you choose to please people at the expense of your mission. As the morning shows the day, so the boy shows the man. Your tomorrow is hidden in the discipline and decisions of your today.

> “Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.”
— Proverbs 13:11

Work should precede pleasure. Seeking pleasure before work keeps one perpetually under pressure.

> “By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.”
— Ecclesiastes 10:18

Do not be slothful in the place of diligence. Hard work is what makes high flyers. Never follow the vogue at the expense of your mission — you will only flourish when you abide where you belong.

Without a spare tire, it is risky to drive carelessly. Likewise, without a rooted foundation, it is dangerous to chase the future carelessly.

> “See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil… therefore choose life.”
— Deuteronomy 30:15–19

Your lot is a product of your choice. Your foundation determines your future.

> “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” — Psalm 11:3
“Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?” — James 3:11

Jesus is the surest foundation for every glorious destiny. He is the security of our eternity.

> “And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne… stood a Lamb as it had been slain.” — Revelation 5:6

Jesus, the Root of Jesse, is the source of every believer’s fruitfulness. Stay true to your roots if things must start working.

> “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness.” — 2 Peter 1:3

True spirituality is scripturality — living by the dictates of Scripture. It takes a serious approach to guarantee a glorious result. Your choice to succeed today will speak for you tomorrow.
