Here’s where Christmas gets uncomfortable—but glorious.
God said:
“The day you eat of it, you shall surely die.” — Genesis 2:17
Death is a promise.
God didn’t promise man—He promised Himself.
If man sinned and did not die, God would be a liar.
And God cannot lie.
So God had a problem:
Either man dies, or someone else dies.
“The wages of sin is death.” — Romans 6:23
This is why Isaiah said:
“It pleased the Lord to bruise Him…” — Isaiah 53:10
God had to kill Himself
to keep you alive.
Christmas is not about gifts.
It’s about substitution.
Jesus didn’t just die physically.
He died spiritually.
“My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?” — Matthew 27:46
That cry was not pain—it was separation.
God forsook Himself
so you would never be forsaken again.
🎄 This is the justice behind Christmas.
