DAY 13: THE SPIRIT OF WORSHIP

Old Testament: Psalm 95:1-7 (KJV)

"O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods... O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand."

New Testament: John 4:23-24 (KJV)

"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."

Worship is the atmosphere in which we encounter God and are transformed by His presence. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of worship—He enables us to worship the Father in spirit and in truth.

Worship is not just about music; it is about the posture of our hearts. True worshippers worship in spirit—by the Holy Spirit—and in truth—according to the revelation of God. This is the kind of worship the Father seeks. He is not satisfied with outward ritual; He desires genuine heart worship.

Worship changes us. When we encounter God in worship, His glory fills us, and we are transformed into His likeness. We shine more brightly because we have been in His presence.

Worship also impacts the world around us. When we worship, we declare God's worth and bring heaven to earth. The enemy is silenced by our worship. Darkness retreats where worship arises.

As distinguished and impactful lights, we must be people of worship. Our lives should be a continual offering of praise to God. Our worship should be expressed in our words, our actions, and our attitudes. When we worship, we shine.

Prophetic Declaration

I am a true worshipper! I worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Holy Spirit fills me with worship. My life is a living sacrifice of praise to God. As I worship, I encounter His presence and am transformed into His likeness. My worship brings light to the darkness!

Kingdom Advancement Prayer

For the Church: Lord, raise up true worshippers in Your Church. Let worship not be a Sunday ritual but a lifestyle. Let Your presence fill our worship.

For Nigeria: Lord, let worship arise from Nigeria to Your throne. Let the nations of Africa worship You.

For Africa: We pray for a great movement of worship across Africa. Let the sound of praise cover the continent.

For Ghana: Let worship fill Ghana.

For South Africa: Let praise arise from South Africa.

For Kenya: Let worship shape the nation.

Personal Supplication

Father, I worship You. I bow before You in spirit and in truth. Fill me with the Spirit of worship. Let my life be a continual offering of praise. When I worship, let me encounter Your presence. Transform me by Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
