ACTIVATING THE POWER OF THE SOUL by Kay Daniels

"Everything great starts with imagination, powered by the Spirit of Understanding."

In the beginning of all true greatness is the power of imagination—an inner vision that can see beyond the visible. The Spirit of Understanding enlightens this imagination, providing insights and perceptions that transcend human logic. Just as God imparted understanding to Bezalel for the intricate design of the tabernacle (Exodus 31:3-5), so He breathes insight into our imaginations, giving us glimpses of divine purposes.

"It is retained in the memory, powered by the Spirit of Knowledge."

Our memories are strengthened by the Spirit of Knowledge, which reinforces the truths and ideas given to us. Like David, who stored the word of God in his heart (Psalm 119:11), knowledge keeps our spiritual imaginations alive and continuously before us, empowering us to meditate upon God’s purposes and to retain the wisdom necessary to carry them forward.

"It is enhanced by the intellect, powered by the Spirit of Wisdom."

Wisdom guides our intellect to bring structure to the inspiration we have received. With wisdom, we gain the practical ability to apply what we know, transforming abstract visions into concrete realities. As Proverbs 4:7 says, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom." It is this wisdom that equips us to navigate the challenges and complexities of bringing God-inspired visions to life.

"It attracts our desire via the motions, moderated by the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord."

Our desires are aligned with God’s will through a reverence for His ways. The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord instills in us a holy caution, guiding our emotions and helping us to maintain a pure heart. Proverbs 19:23 reminds us that "the fear of the Lord leads to life," providing a steady hand as our desires and ambitions unfold.

"It establishes our desires via the will, powered by the Spirit of Counsel."

The Spirit of Counsel solidifies our desires, leading us to a point of decision and conviction. Counsel gives us clarity and direction, helping us to align our actions with God's purpose. Just as God promised counsel to His people in Psalm 32:8, guiding them with His eye, we, too, are led into decisive action, grounded in the will of God.

Thus, with the Spirit's sevenfold manifestation—understanding, knowledge, wisdom, fear, counsel, might, and reverence—we become capable of realizing God-given greatness. These attributes of the Spirit are not merely qualities to be admired but the power of God within us to bring forth His purposes, as reflected in Isaiah 11:1-3.
