4. Your purpose may incorporate many smaller facets that contribute to God's overall purpose for your life.

5. Your individual purpose is linked to a greater purpose.

GODS PLAN FOR ME IS IN HIS BOOK By Dr David Oyedepo

1. We are redeemed as stars on the earth.

We are outstanding outstanding personalities on the earth.

Proverbs 11:30, Daniels 12:3, Proverbs 3:35

Commitment to kingdom advancement investment in soul winning is what makes a star.

Malachi 3:17, John 12:23 - 24

God honours people who are committed to serving Gods interest on the earth.

Only a player can become a star player.

Only people in service become stars in such service.

When you are not fielded, your star cannot show up.

2. We are redeemed to enjoy divine favour.

Ephesians 2:8 Salvation is the gift of God.

We have our colourful root in favour.

Great grace results in great favour.

To flow in this kind of favour - Psalm. 5:12

a  You need to walk in the fear of God.

Favour shows up with the fear of God.

Daniel 1:8-9,  Daniels 2:46,

The fear od God is what reveals the secrets of God as we see in Joseph and Daniel.

Men that flow in divine secrets are men with the fear of God.

Isaiah 66:2-3

b. Take pleasure in the things of God.

Psalm 102:13-15

Fearful favour belongs to them who take plaesure in the advancement of the kingdom.

Psalm 37:4, 1 Timothy 2:4, John. 15:16

Gods main desire on the earth today is to see all men saved.

Favour Gods agenda on the earth to see his favour flow in your life. This is what to do to flow in divine favour.

Heavens commendation is what brings about mans elevation.

3. We are redeemed to command supernatural breakthroughs.

Matthew 5:14

To take delivery of this is simple obedience to divine instructions.

Doing what God commands is what leads on the path of supernatural breakthroughs.

Your breakthrough is in your delightsome obedience.

Deut 28:1

If you dont want to be stranded, dont despise his instructions.

Your next level of breakthroughs is not in your explanation, it is in your delightsome obedience.

"Excuse is simply proclaimed reasons why certain things could not be done. Excuse is bait that attracts failure.  Kay Daniels 2022

1 Chronicles 12:32, Ecclesiastes 7:8, Job 8:7, Deuteronomy 15:1, 12-15

Every burden of Indebtedness shall be cleared off this seventh year.

4. We are redeemed as ambassadors of Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:18 -19, Proverbs 13:17

You remain healthy when you commit to reconciling the world back to God.

You become a distributor of health when you commit to soul winning.

John 15:1-2

Certified labourers are made fit by God to bring in more fruit.

Psalm 92:14, Exodus 23:26

Fruit bearing believers enjoy longevity.

At old age, you become an entity of value.

DAILY WORDSPIRATION: UNLEASH PURPOSE - UNDERSTANDING PURPOSE

Glory to God, it is yet another sunday. A time to go into the house of the lord and feast on his word. A time mortality interacts with immortality. A time humanity fellowships with divinity. A time heaven kisses the earth. A communion between the spirit man and the Spirit .of the Lord - Koinonia. As you enter into the house of the lord today, may the light in his word shine through your soul and bring you to realms of revelations in Jesus Name.

Today, on our daily wordspiration, we shall attempt to understand what purpose really mean. We shall also continue with the scriptural reading of the book of Ezra.

UNDERSTANDING PURPOSE

1. The human need for personal meaning and satisfaction is universal.

2. Personal fulfillment is the only true measure of success.

3. Fulfilling purpose must be the primary goal of every person.

4. Everything in life has a purpose.

5. Purpose is the original intent in the mind of the Creator that motivated Him to create a particular item.

6. Purpose always precedes production.

7. All things begin and end with purpose.

8. God created you with a definite purpose in mind.

Purpose is God's original intent for creating a thing. You are therrefore a creation of purpose. You are custom built for purpose.

There is a reason why God placed you here on earth. Find it!

Don't just roam around, find your purpose!

BACKGROUNG

The vision of the Center for Creative youth international was delivered via a revelation in the year 2001. It all began while on campus when I felt the unusual passion to reach out to fellow students with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Considering the campus as an intellectual environment, my soul went after students, the regular fellowships termed “outcast”, either due to their dressing or way of life.

I knew it would take a potent vision from God to effectively reach out. I engaged in a series of spiritual soul searching in search of the will of God. I spent many nights and days on several mountains in Bauchi state, searching and seeking the face of the Almighty.

By the Spirit of God, I was led to the Living Faith Church, where I learnt to hear the voice of God. My passion to reach other youths grew stronger, and this led me to seek and obtain the anointing upon the man of God – Dr David Oyedepo.

In an impartation service in 2001, as I approached the man of God to have hands laid on me, I desired every grace upon the man of God and I got it. I returned to school that year and Winners campus fellowship began on my campus.

Within the same year, I was privileged by grace of election to pioneer a socio-spiritual youth organization known as Impact Makers to reach out to students not attending any fellowship as well as those of other faith.

The organization also helped student develop their understanding of subjects ranging from relationship, leadership, entrepreneurship, attitude development, character building, and ethics and so on.

In 2003, while on youth service in Imo State, I was privileged of God to pioneer the Winners Corpers fellowship in the camp in Nkwerre.

After my service year, I had a call to youth ministry which culminated in what is today the Center for Creative youth International global outreach ministries, CCYI GLOBAL

The ministry had its first seminar on the 22nd of January 2005 with the theme: Rising up to a new level. 2005 till date, the impact has impacted countless individuals around the globe to the glory of God.

Thousands of young people have at one time or the other been blessed by this ministry. Some of these youths are established pastors of major ministries, bankers, students and entrepreneurs. To the glory of God, this initiatve is 17 years today and positioned to step up to greatness.

Our events at inception (2005):

»Rise up to a new level – January 22nd 2005

» Youth restiveness and responsive leadership – September 3rd, 2005

»Force of excellence: Creative approaches to tackling corruption amongst Nigerian Youths. – November 26th 2005

DAILY WORDSPIRATION - UNLEASH PURPOSE with Kay Daniels

It is a great thing that you followed through the 21 days bible reading of the Book of John. I believe that your soul has contacted great lights from the book of lights - the bible. I had an experience on the 21st day that prooves the validity of light that shines through the word of God. Almost four days ago, I discovered that my other phone was missing. I searched everywhere in my office but could not locate the phone.

I kept my peace, asked a few people but they claimed they did not see the phone. I called the phone several times but it was switched off. Some minutes to midnight yesterday, as I was having supper and preparing for this writeup, I sensed in my spiritman to go and call the phone again, immeditely, I went took my phone and dialed the number, wow!, the phone rang and a female voice said hello..... the phone has a little fault that makes it difficult for one to hear what is been said if not placed on speaker. So I sent a text message and the person on the other end replied with a message that claimed that she had given someone a lift and the person left the phone in her car. This God is great!.

He is a God that empowers our sensitivity, sharpens our skills and enhances our strenght. May you receive grace for prompt obedience to the instructions of the inner voice of God that directs in Jesus name.

From today we shall be gaining daily wisdom in our quest to Unleash Purpose and also read the book of Ezra, the next 10 days. Like Daniel, within the next ten days, your countenance shall become fairer.

UNLEASH PURPOSE

THE GREATEST TRAGEDY IN LIFE IS NOT DEATH, BUT LIFE WITHOUT A REASON.

• It is dangerous to be alive and not know why you were given life.

• One of the most frustrating experiences is to have time, but not know why.

• From the beginning of man's history as we know it, mankind has been grappling with the age-old questions:

• Why am I here? What is the reason for my existence? What is the meaning of my life? Is there a reason for the universe, the creation, and man?

These questions are universal. They lurk deep within the secret chambers of every human being on earth, regardless of race, colour, ethnic heritage, socioeconomic status, or nationality.

Philosophers such as Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, and others throughout the
ages have attempted to explore these seemingly illusive questions.

For the most part, their efforts have ended in more questions than answers.
The deepest craving of the human spirit is to find a sense of significance and relevance.

The search for relevance in life is the ultimate pursuit of man.

Conscious or unconscious, admitted or not, this internal passion is what motivates and drives every human being, ether directly or indirectly.

It directs his decisions, controls behaviour, and dictates his responses to his environment.

This need for significance is the cause of great tragedies.

Many suicides and attempted suicides owe their manifestation to this compelling need. Many mass murderers and serial killers confess the relationship of their antisocial behaviour to their need to feel important or to experience a sense of self-worth.

This passion for relevance and a sense of significance makes one race or ethnic group elevate itself above another. It also gives birth to prejudice and causes the fabrication of erroneous perceptions that result in grave injustices and the conception of abominable dreams and inhuman behaviour. It also gives birth to tyrants and dictators who easily sacrifice the sacredness of human life and dignity for a temporary sense of significance.

This desperate desire to feel important and relevant to one's existence also causes the sacrifice of common sense, good judgment, moral standards, and basic human values. Many individuals have sacrificed excellent reputations and years of character-building lifestyles for the sake of advancement to a desired position or a place of recognition and fame in the society or workplace so they could feel important worthwhile.

This passion for a sense of significance and meaning in life is also the fuel for most capitalist and progressive economies.

There are millions of individuals who sacrifice their families, friends, and convictions in the attempt to gain a sense of significance.

Accumulating status symbols and material possessions, they seek a position of importance and meaning.

In essence, this deep desire and drive for a sense of importance, significance, and relevance is the cause and the motivator of all human behaviour and conflict.

This passion for significance knows no boundaries. Rich and poor are victims of its power. King and peasant suffer under its rule. Is this passion for a meaningful life a negative craving? Absolutely not!

This yearning for relevance and significance is evidence of an internal vacuum in the nature of mankind that needs to be filled. This age-old passion is the pursuit of purpose, a relentless reaching for a reason for the gift of life.

JOHN CHAPTER 21 - DAY 12 OF FASTING & PRAYERS

ECCCYI

OK, be honest. When you started this challenge, did you think you'd make it to day 21? We're glad you stuck with it, because you have taken a significant step toward making Bible reading a daily part of your life. Whether you feel it now or not, your time in the Word will prove to have been time well spent.

Here in the last chapter of John, we see that at the end of His ministry on earth, Jesus' message to the disciples was the same as at the beginning: "Follow me." As we read this last chapter of John, ask yourself, what does following Jesus look like today?

PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you for the Words passed down to us by John. Thank you for this marvellous revelation of your love for us. We pray that as we read your Word, our ears will be more attuned to the voice of Jesus, and our hearts motivated to follow Him wherever He leads.

John 21 English Standard Version (ESV)

Jesus Appears to Seven Disciples
21 After this Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias, and he revealed himself in this way. 2 Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together. 3 Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We will go with you.” They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.

4 Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. 5 Jesus said to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him, “No.” 6 He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish. 7 That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea. 8 The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, but about a hundred yards[a] off.

9 When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread. 10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.” 11 So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn. 12 Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish. 14 This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

Jesus and Peter
15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” 16 He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” 17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. 18 Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.” 19 (This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, “Follow me.”

Jesus and the Beloved Apostle
20 Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them, the one who also had leaned back against him during the supper and had said, “Lord, who is it that is going to betray you?” 21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about this man?” 22 Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!” 23 So the saying spread abroad among the brothers[b] that this disciple was not to die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he was not to die, but, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you?”

24 This is the disciple who is bearing witness about these things, and who has written these things, and we know that his testimony is true.

25 Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.

REFLECTION & APPLICATION
At the beginning of the chapter, the disciples are out on a boat fishing, but had not caught anything. Then, as dawn was breaking, a voice calls out from the shore saying, "Cast your net on the right side of the boat." And the disciples listened, obeyed, and when their nets came up full, they recognized it was Jesus who had called to them.

The Good Shepherd spoke, and His sheep recognized the voice of the One who had given His life for His sheep.

Today, we are surrounded by voices vying for our attention and it may seem impossible to hear Jesus' voice over the din. But with regular time in the Bible, for 21 days, 21 months, 21 years and more, Jesus' voice will be as clear to you as if there was no else speaking.

We're glad you joined us for these 21 days! We hope you plan to continue spending time in the Word on your own on a regular basis. You may want to choose another one of the Gospels--the different authors tend to focus on different aspects of Jesus' ministry and through their eyes you can build a more complete picture of our Saviour. Or maybe you'll want to continue the story in the Book of Acts which begins with Jesus' ascension into heaven and continues with the arrival of the promised Holy Spirit.

Thanks again everyone!

JOHN CHAPTER 20 - DAY 11 OF FASTING & PRAYERS

ECCCYI

This study of John has all been about getting to know Jesus. And today we learn probably the most important fact about Him: He is alive!

Normally, when a person dies and is laid to rest, you expect the story to end. But this is not a normal story, and Jesus was not a normal man. One of the first descriptions of Jesus in the Book of John was, "In him was life" (1:4, ESV). Throughout His ministry, Jesus restored many people to health and even brought a dead man back to life. It comes as no surprise then that Jesus, life incarnate, could not stay dead.

John ends this chapter by telling us why he wrote his Gospel in the first place. "These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name" (20:31, ESV).

Let's read the rest of the chapter.

PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus thank you for the wonderful testimony in your Word and for the life-giving forgiveness available to us because Jesus Christ our ever living saviour.

John 20 English Standard Version (ESV)

The Resurrection
20 Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. 2 So she ran and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him.” 3 So Peter went out with the other disciple, and they were going toward the tomb. 4 Both of them were running together, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. 5 And stooping to look in, he saw the linen cloths lying there, but he did not go in. 6 Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb. He saw the linen cloths lying there, 7 and the face cloth, which had been on Jesus'[a] head, not lying with the linen cloths but folded up in a place by itself. 8 Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; 9 for as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead. 10 Then the disciples went back to their homes.

Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene
11 But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb, and as she wept she stooped to look into the tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head and one at the feet. 13 They said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.” 14 Having said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.” 16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned and said to him in Aramaic,[b] “Rabboni!” (which means Teacher). 17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” 18 Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord”—and that he had said these things to her.

Jesus Appears to the Disciples
19 On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews,[c] Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” 20 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. 21 Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” 22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”

Jesus and Thomas
24 Now Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin,[d] was not with them when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.”

26 Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” 28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

The Purpose of This Book
30 Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

REFLECTION & APPLICATION
This isn't the first time in the Book of John that life is offered to those who believe in Jesus. But if Jesus hadn't been raised from the dead, those earlier promises would have meant nothing. Any man can promise you life and salvation, but only one Man proved that He actually had the power to give life. That man was Jesus, and death couldn't hold on to Him. It's because of that we can believe that He truly has the power to give eternal life to those who believe in Him.

If you've met Jesus, tell us about it! When did you make that decision to follow Him? What convinced you?

And let us know what you think by leaving a comment below.

JOHN CHAPTER 19 - DAY 10 OF FASTING & PRAYERS

In today's chapter about the crucifixion of Jesus, we are told of four specific prophecies, or predictions, that came true about Him.

When soldiers gambled for Jesus' clothes, this was a fulfilment of Psalm 22:18. When Jesus says "I thirst," in verse 28 and given sour wine, this is a fulfilment of Psalm 69:21. Verse 37 is a fulfilment of Zechariah 12:10: "They will look … on him whom they have pierced" (ESV), referring to the soldier who stabbed Jesus in the side with a spear.

As you read through John 19, look for the fourth prophecy.

Welcome to the 10th Day of the 21days Fasting and Prayer season. Within 10 days, Daniel and his friends fasted and their faces brightened up and they were ten times better than their colleagues. On this tenth day, you shall begin to manifest divine wisdom. The Spirit of wisdom shall enhance your intellectual capabilities.

As you wait on God crave for the release of the outpouring of the Spirit of wisdom. The ability to use acquired knowledge is wisdom and that is what you are walking into today.

PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus as we read about the death of your Son remind of the purpose of His death; to save us from our sins. Thank you for loving us so much that You would make this sacrifice. Help us to see each day how we can bring glory and honour to Your name.

John 19 English Standard Version (ESV)

Jesus Delivered to Be Crucified
19 Then Pilate took Jesus and flogged him. 2 And the soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head and arrayed him in a purple robe. 3 They came up to him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” and struck him with their hands. 4 Pilate went out again and said to them, “See, I am bringing him out to you that you may know that I find no guilt in him.” 5 So Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, “Behold the man!” 6 When the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, “Crucify him, crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Take him yourselves and crucify him, for I find no guilt in him.” 7 The Jews[a] answered him, “We have a law, and according to that law he ought to die because he has made himself the Son of God.” 8 When Pilate heard this statement, he was even more afraid. 9 He entered his headquarters again and said to Jesus, “Where are you from?” But Jesus gave him no answer. 10 So Pilate said to him, “You will not speak to me? Do you not know that I have authority to release you and authority to crucify you?” 11 Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above. Therefore he who delivered me over to you has the greater sin.”

12 From then on Pilate sought to release him, but the Jews cried out, “If you release this man, you are not Caesar's friend. Everyone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar.” 13 So when Pilate heard these words, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called The Stone Pavement, and in Aramaic[b] Gabbatha. 14 Now it was the day of Preparation of the Passover. It was about the sixth hour.[c] He said to the Jews, “Behold your King!” 15 They cried out, “Away with him, away with him, crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar.” 16 So he delivered him over to them to be crucified.

The Crucifixion
So they took Jesus, 17 and he went out, bearing his own cross, to the place called The Place of a Skull, which in Aramaic is called Golgotha. 18 There they crucified him, and with him two others, one on either side, and Jesus between them. 19 Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It read, “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.” 20 Many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Aramaic, in Latin, and in Greek. 21 So the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but rather, ‘This man said, I am King of the Jews.’” 22 Pilate answered, “What I have written I have written.”

23 When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his garments and divided them into four parts, one part for each soldier; also his tunic.[d] But the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom, 24 so they said to one another, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it to see whose it shall be.” This was to fulfil the Scripture which says,

“They divided my garments among them,
and for my clothing they cast lots.”

So the soldiers did these things, 25 but standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” 27 Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.

The Death of Jesus
28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said (to fulfil the Scripture), “I thirst.” 29 A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth. 30 When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

Jesus' Side Is Pierced
31 Since it was the day of Preparation, and so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away. 32 So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who had been crucified with him. 33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. 34 But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out blood and water. 35 He who saw it has borne witness—his testimony is true, and he knows that he is telling the truth—that you also may believe. 36 For these things took place that the Scripture might be fulfilled: “Not one of his bones will be broken.” 37 And again another Scripture says, “They will look on him whom they have pierced.”

Jesus Is Buried
38 After these things Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus, and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took away his body. 39 Nicodemus also, who earlier had come to Jesus[e] by night, came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds[f] in weight. 40 So they took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews. 41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. 42 So because of the Jewish day of Preparation, since the tomb was close at hand, they laid Jesus there.

REFLECTION & APPLICATION
The most significant fulfilment of prophecy is in verse 36 where it mentions that none of Jesus' bones were broken. Exodus 12:46 says, "you shall not break any of its bones." At first, this doesn't sound like a prophecy at all. It's talking about how to prepare the Passover lamb. The lamb itself was to be a perfect one with no spots or blemishes. And when it was killed, its blood was to be spread on the doorposts of the house. On the original Passover, an angel from God went throughout Egypt. In any house that didn't have blood on the doorposts, the firstborn was killed. The blood of the lamb was the symbol of God's redemption and protection.

Jesus was the Passover lamb for the world. His blood has redeemed us from hell and the consequences of our sins. All we need to do is believe.

Why is prophecy important in the Bible?

JOHN CHAPTER 18 - DAY 9 OF FASTING & PRAYERS

Though the focus of this chapter is on Jesus and His arrest, the author, John, spends a significant amount of time following Peter as he reaches his low point. First, in verse 10 when Peter raises his sword and strikes a servant. And later, in verse 27 when Peter denies knowing Jesus for the third time. Peter still hadn't grasped the reason Jesus had come to earth.

Even though Peter wasn't in the room when Jesus spoke these words in verse 36, it's not too hard to suppose that Jesus was thinking of Peter when He said them: "Jesus answered, 'My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.'"

Let's read the rest of this chapter.

PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus thank you for the example Jesus set for us. As we meet the challenges of today, please give us the wisdom and strength we need to meet them in a way that honors You and the sacrifice You made for us.

John 18 English Standard Version (ESV)

Betrayal and Arrest of Jesus
18 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went out with his disciples across the brook Kidron, where there was a garden, which he and his disciples entered. 2 Now Judas, who betrayed him, also knew the place, for Jesus often met there with his disciples. 3 So Judas, having procured a band of soldiers and some officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, went there with lanterns and torches and weapons. 4 Then Jesus, knowing all that would happen to him, came forward and said to them, “Whom do you seek?” 5 They answered him, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus said to them, “I am he.”[a] Judas, who betrayed him, was standing with them. 6 When Jesus[b] said to them, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground. 7 So he asked them again, “Whom do you seek?” And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.” 8 Jesus answered, “I told you that I am he. So, if you seek me, let these men go.” 9 This was to fulfill the word that he had spoken: “Of those whom you gave me I have lost not one.” 10 Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest's servant[c] and cut off his right ear. (The servant's name was Malchus.) 11 So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into its sheath; shall I not drink the cup that the Father has given me?”

Jesus Faces Annas and Caiaphas
12 So the band of soldiers and their captain and the officers of the Jews[d] arrested Jesus and bound him. 13 First they led him to Annas, for he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was high priest that year. 14 It was Caiaphas who had advised the Jews that it would be expedient that one man should die for the people.

Peter Denies Jesus
15 Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple. Since that disciple was known to the high priest, he entered with Jesus into the courtyard of the high priest, 16 but Peter stood outside at the door. So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to the servant girl who kept watch at the door, and brought Peter in. 17 The servant girl at the door said to Peter, “You also are not one of this man's disciples, are you?” He said, “I am not.” 18 Now the servants[e] and officers had made a charcoal fire, because it was cold, and they were standing and warming themselves. Peter also was with them, standing and warming himself.

The High Priest Questions Jesus
19 The high priest then questioned Jesus about his disciples and his teaching. 20 Jesus answered him, “I have spoken openly to the world. I have always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all Jews come together. I have said nothing in secret. 21 Why do you ask me? Ask those who have heard me what I said to them; they know what I said.” 22 When he had said these things, one of the officers standing by struck Jesus with his hand, saying, “Is that how you answer the high priest?” 23 Jesus answered him, “If what I said is wrong, bear witness about the wrong; but if what I said is right, why do you strike me?” 24 Annas then sent him bound to Caiaphas the high priest.

Peter Denies Jesus Again
25 Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. So they said to him, “You also are not one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it and said, “I am not.” 26 One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, asked, “Did I not see you in the garden with him?” 27 Peter again denied it, and at once a rooster crowed.

Jesus Before Pilate
28 Then they led Jesus from the house of Caiaphas to the governor's headquarters.[f] It was early morning. They themselves did not enter the governor's headquarters, so that they would not be defiled, but could eat the Passover. 29 So Pilate went outside to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this man?” 30 They answered him, “If this man were not doing evil, we would not have delivered him over to you.” 31 Pilate said to them, “Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law.” The Jews said to him, “It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death.” 32 This was to fulfill the word that Jesus had spoken to show by what kind of death he was going to die.

My Kingdom Is Not of This World
33 So Pilate entered his headquarters again and called Jesus and said to him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” 34 Jesus answered, “Do you say this of your own accord, or did others say it to you about me?” 35 Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered you over to me. What have you done?” 36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.” 37 Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” 38 Pilate said to him, “What is truth?”

After he had said this, he went back outside to the Jews and told them, “I find no guilt in him. 39 But you have a custom that I should release one man for you at the Passover. So do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?” 40 They cried out again, “Not this man, but Barabbas!” Now Barabbas was a robber.[g]

REFLECTION & APPLICATION
Decades later, the following words would be written and would eventually be included in the Bible we hold today: "Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people."

That's 1 Peter 2:13-15 a letter Peter wrote encouraging other believers in the burgeoning new church. Though Jesus' death and resurrection had the specific purpose of providing salvation for all mankind, it also serves as an example for how to behave as believers today. Though Peter didn't get it at first, he got it eventually, that God's kingdom is a kingdom of peace, not war.

JOHN CHAPTER 17 - DAY 8 OF FASTING & PRAYERS

ECCCYI

Have you ever been in a tough situation and asked a friend to pray? It's comforting to know that someone cares about you and is willing to pray on your behalf. It's a unique Christian experience too. It draws us together knowing we have a Father in heaven who not only listens to our prayer but actually asks us to give them. Did you know that Jesus said a prayer for you?

In John 17 we see Jesus pray, first for Himself and for God's glory, then for His disciples and then He turns His eyes to the future. "I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word" (17:20, ESV). Jesus knew that after He was gone, the message of Christ would spread like wild fire to the ends of the earth. That includes us today. Jesus went on to pray for us.

"That they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me" (v. 21, ESV).

PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus thank you for hearing our prayers! Thank you for loving us so much that you would send Jesus to die on our behalf to provide eternal life. We pray that you continue to support and guide us through our daily life.

John 17 English Standard Version (ESV)

The High Priestly Prayer
17 When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, 2 since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. 4 I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

6 “I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. 7 Now they know that everything that you have given me is from you. 8 For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me. 9 I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. 10 All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. 12 While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.[a] 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them[b] in the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sake I consecrate myself,[c] that they also may be sanctified[d] in truth.

20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. 26 I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

REFLECTION & APPLICATION
Believers from all corners of the world, despite their differences, are united by their love of God and their desire to see His Kingdom spread on earth. And one of the best ways to maintain that unity is simply by praying for each other, which is exactly what Jesus demonstrated here.

So, today, what are your prayer requests? We'd love to pray for you. Leave your prayer requests below, and feel free to offer prayers for the requests others leave as well.

FEAST OF GREATNESS | BECOMING EARTHLY USEFUL BY KAY DANIELS

• The Great Secret of Life is the law of attraction that governs the realm of the emotion, located in the soul. The emotion is powered by the Spirit of the Fear of God. The absense of the fear of God renders the emotion spiritually powerless. • The law of attraction says like attracts like, so when you think a thought, you are also attracting like thoughts to you. With the fear of God ruling your emotion, you attract God-centred or Kingdom inspired thougts, actions, places and people. . Thoughts are magnetic, and thoughts have a frequency. As you think thoughts, they are sent out into the Universe, and they magnetically attract all like things that are on the same frequency. Everything sent out returns to the source - you. This is the same principle with scripturally inspired prayers. When you pray according to scriptures, you automatically attract all that has been promised by such scriptures. For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. – Proverbs 23:7(KJV) • You are like a human transmission tower, transmitting a frequency with your thoughts. Two areas of the soul generate the thought. The Imagination, which is powered by the Spirit of Understanding and the Memory which is powered by the Spirit of Knowledge. The imagination pre-plays while the memory replays. The imagination pre-plays created thoughts that would happen in time to come while memory replays thoughts and actions that had happened in time past. The imagination and memory both change positions from time to time. Some remember before thinking of the future while some others think future before committing any thought into their memory. If you want to change anything in your life, change the frequency by changing your thoughts. It is wisdom to recall testimonies so that you can preplay victories in your mind before they happen in time. Your current thoughts are creating your future life. What you think about the most or focus on the most will appear as your life. • Your thoughts become things and these things soon show up in your life
