A SERVANT OF GOD FLYING BY GRACE (BISHOP DAVID OYEDEPO) IS 70 TODAY

A Reflection of God's Faithfulness Through His Servant (Bishop David Oyedepo).

We soar on the wings of gratitude, lifted high by praise and raised up in glory. It is divine wisdom to sing our own song of thanksgiving, and we are personally grateful to our Father in heaven for His unfailing love, grace, and mercy. In the seen and unseen, in battles we knew of and those fought without our knowledge, God has always been our champion. He does the work, fights our battles, and ensures victory at every turn.

To be ungrateful is to walk in ignorance, for God owes us nothing, yet we owe Him everything. Even in moments when we think we have lost, it is God who ensures that we haven’t lost it all. The depth of His mercy and grace is beyond measure, and He deserves all our praise.

Today, September 27, 2024, marks a monumental celebration. God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo, turns 70 today, and heaven itself rejoices. As the day opened, showers of rain descended from above, a divine sign of God’s favor, washing away the schemes of the enemy and nourishing the trees of righteousness. This is not just another day; it is a day of renewal, of new beginnings, of fresh anointing.

Through Bishop Oyedepo, God has accomplished tremendous works in our lives. He has been an instrument of God’s grace, leading us on paths of wisdom, prosperity, and divine purpose. His teachings, rooted in unwavering faith and obedience, have guided multitudes to discover their God-given destinies. In the storms of life, his words have been like anchors, rooted in Scripture, reminding us that with God, no battle is too great and no challenge is insurmountable.

He has led with courage, always lifting the banner of Christ high and calling us to higher levels of faith and excellence. By God's hand upon him, millions have found hope, families have been restored, and nations have been transformed.

On this day, as we reflect on the life and ministry of Bishop Oyedepo, we are reminded of the power of faith, dedication, and the pursuit of divine purpose. God has truly used him as a beacon of light to illuminate our paths, showing us the way to victory and eternal joy.

So, we raise our voices in praise and thanksgiving, for all God has done through him. For the countless lives touched, for the battles won, for the victories sealed in heaven and manifested on earth, we give glory to God. The heavens celebrate today, and so do we.

Hurray! God’s servant is 70, and the best is yet to come!

This reflection honors both God and His servant, Bishop David Oyedepo, by highlighting the divine impact of his ministry on individual lives and the larger body of Christ. It is a powerful testimony of God's grace, victory, and the transformational leadership of Bishop Oyedepo.

The Process of Entering The Kingdom of God by Dr Myles Munroe

Preach the store and not the door.
When you market the store making reference to the door, many shall scramble for the door.
The key is the kingdom and not the door.
All there is to seek is the kingdom alone.
But to access the kingdom, there is a need to reference the right door that leads to the kingdom. Jesus says, seek ye first the kingdom and all other things shall be added to you. he never pointed to himself. he said, seek the kingdom. Jesus is the door that leads to the kingdom. We are not to preach "Jesus"but preach the kingdom with strong reference to Jesus.

WORDSPIRATION: CELEBRATING DR DAVID OLANIYI OYEDEPO AT 70 DAY 7

To rise as a leader, one must first define their core—their unique set of values, passions, and guiding principles. The world is filled with distractions, and without clarity of purpose, it’s easy to be swayed by trends, opinions, and the pursuit of immediate results.

Upcoming leaders need to take time to identify what truly drives them, what they stand for, and the impact they want to create. This foundation is critical because it shapes the trajectory of their leadership journey.

Once the core is defined, the next step is to believe in it wholeheartedly. When it takes root in the heart, it soon becomes handlable with the hands. If it gets planted in the heart, it soon getminates in the earth.

Doubt can erode confidence, making even the strongest convictions seem insignificant.

The road to leadership is not without challenges, but belief in one’s purpose fuels resilience.

It allows a leader to push through obstacles, endure criticism, and rise above failures.

Belief is what transforms potential into action. It becomes the energy that inspires others to follow.

Investing in your core is the final piece. Every leader must pour their time, resources, and energy into refining their abilities, expanding their knowledge, and continuously growing in their field.

This means sacrificing comfort for growth, prioritizing long-term impact over short-term gains, and aligning every decision with their purpose.

The investment doesn’t just benefit the leader; it uplifts those around them and builds a legacy that transcends their personal influence.

As we celebrate Dr. David Oyedepo’s 70th birthday, of which the D- day is tomorrow 27th Sept we see these principles personified in his life.

He has consistently defined and believed in his divine calling, investing all he is into it.

His unwavering faith, dedication, and visionary leadership have impacted myself and obviously millions worldwide, setting a powerful example of what it means to rise as a leader.

Dr. Oyedepo, thank you for being a beacon of excellence and purpose.

May God continue to bless you with wisdom, strength, and grace as you enter this new chapter.

Happy 70th birthday, sir!

Ask of me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth as your possession.

Greatitude is key to Greatness - Grace does not give "my Story" but "His Story"

The essence of greatness and success is recognizing that God in man is what makes the difference. The glory of any man's achievements, success, or marvel lies in God's divine presence within him. This is captured clearly in Acts 14:15, where Paul and Barnabas exclaimed, "We are men of like nature with you!"—highlighting that without God's presence, they were mere men.

Our strength does not lie in ourselves but in God's power working through us. As written in 2 Corinthians 4:7, "We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us." God often chooses the weak, not the strong, so that His strength and glory can be made manifest through human frailty. He perfects His power in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9), demonstrating that we do not rely on our abilities, but on His grace.

God's Glory in His Chosen
God's pattern is often to call the weak so that He alone can receive all the glory. The Bible is filled with examples of those who, by their own might, could not accomplish the tasks before them but were empowered by God. Moses, who initially felt inadequate to lead (Exodus 4:10), became the great deliverer by God's power. Gideon was called when he was weak and afraid, but God worked through him to deliver Israel (*Judges 6:15-16*).

Our Areas of Grace, Not Strength
As 1 Corinthians 15:10 says, "But by the grace of God I am what I am: and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain." We don't possess areas of strength but areas where God’s grace abounds. Grace is God's empowering presence, enabling us to be what we cannot be on our own.

The Danger of Self-Praise
When people begin to sing your praises, it becomes a dangerous moment for your spiritual walk. It is often said that "when people sing your praise, they are killing you unintentionally." Psalm 71:7 reveals that it is God who makes a man a marvel to others. As believers, we must guard our hearts against self-commendation, for "he that commendeth himself is not approved" (2 Corinthians 10:18). We must remember, as James 1:17 teaches, that "every good gift and every perfect gift is from above." Therefore, giving God the glory in all things protects us from pride.

The Wisdom of Dependence on God
It is wisdom to always look up to God in every situation. As 1 Corinthians 4:7 asks, "For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive?" Everything we have comes from God, and it is only by His grace that we are what we are. Just like Deuteronomy 32:11 describes the eagle that stirs up its nest and bears its young on its wings, so God bears us up, carrying us to heights we could never reach on our own.

A Lifestyle of Thanksgiving
We are either thanking God or complaining. Those who fail to give God thanks ultimately sink under the weight of their own circumstances. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 admonishes, "In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." When we thank God for what He is doing, He completes the rest of the work. The story of the ten lepers in Luke 17:11-19 serves as a clear reminder that it is the one who returns to give thanks that receives wholeness.

Conclusion: The Power of Grace
In conclusion, we must acknowledge that everything we are and everything we do is by God's grace. There is no room for self-reliance or boasting. We are lifted by God’s grace, not by our own strength. As we submit ourselves to God, acknowledging His role in every area of our lives, we set ourselves on a course where His glory is revealed through us, and His name is exalted in all that we do.

Let us never forget, as Psalm 115:1 says, “Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.” The greatest wisdom is to continually fix our gaze on God, recognizing that without Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5). May His grace continue to carry us forward in every endeavor.

In the world, it's man's ordinary approach that makes a task look ordinary.

Every task, whether great or small, has inherent significance. It is not the nature of the task that determines its importance, but the attitude and approach of the individual performing it. The Bible reminds us of this in Colossians 3:23:
"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;"

When we commit ourselves to a task as though we are doing it for God, no effort is wasted, no duty is trivial, and no assignment is insignificant. An ordinary approach leads to an ordinary outcome, but with a heart fully dedicated to the task, even the most mundane work becomes a divine mission.

Jesus, in Luke 16:10, teaches, *“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much.”* Our approach to the "least" reflects how we will handle the greater responsibilities God may entrust us with. Therefore, we are called to excellence in all things. Even when the world sees something as small or inconsequential, we are to treat it as a matter of eternal consequence, for every action sown in faithfulness bears fruit in the eyes of God.

Proverbs 22:29 further illustrates this, saying:
*"Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men."*
Diligence and commitment elevate the most ordinary tasks into opportunities for greatness. This Scripture calls us to serve with excellence, ensuring that our approach to every responsibility reflects the excellence that God demands of us as His representatives.

Let us, therefore, refuse to settle for the ordinary. Let us reject the temptation to approach life’s assignments with complacency. Rather, let us embrace every task, however ordinary it may seem, with a spirit of distinction, for we serve a God of excellence.

As we Celebrate Bishop David Oyedepo at 70 we declare Heavenly Father,  We lift up Your servant, Bishop David Oyedepo, in this season of his 70th birthday. We thank You for the grace, wisdom, and anointing that You have poured upon his life, making him a beacon of Your light and truth in this generation.

Lord, we ask that You continue to bless him with strength, health, and divine vision. As he has been a vessel of honor and excellence in Your Kingdom, may You enlarge his coast and take him from glory to glory. Like Moses, let his eyes not grow dim, nor his natural vigor be diminished (Deuteronomy 34:7).

Father, we pray that the legacy of faith, leadership, and impact that You have established through him will continue to inspire generations to come. May his voice of wisdom resound even louder, guiding many more into their divine destinies.

In Jesus’ mighty name we pray,
Amen.

Beware of Broken Focus: A Scattered Mind Leads Nowhere

In a world filled with distractions, it's easy for the mind to wander and for focus to break. However, broken focus is a subtle enemy that hinders progress and causes one to drift aimlessly. The Bible is clear about the power of focus and the need for single-mindedness in our pursuit of purpose.

In James 1:8, it says, "A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways." This scripture reminds us that when our attention is divided, instability follows. The scattered mind leads to confusion, uncertainty, and ultimately, unfulfilled potential. Instead, we are called to fix our gaze on what matters.

Proverbs 4:25-27 encourages us to "Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil." Here, the Word of God highlights the importance of setting a clear direction and maintaining unwavering focus.

Even the Apostle Paul exemplifies this mindset when he said, "I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:14). He understood that to reach the goal, one's mind must be fully set on the task, without allowing distractions to derail the journey.

Maintaining focus requires discipline and a heart aligned with God’s purpose. In Matthew 6:22-23, Jesus speaks about having a “single eye” that is full of light, a metaphor for clarity and focus. He teaches that when our spiritual and mental vision is clear and focused on God’s Kingdom, everything else falls into place.

Conclusion: Birthday Message to Bishop David Oyedepo at 70

WORDSPIRATION: CELEBRATING DR DAVID OLANIYI OYEDEPO AT 70 DAY 4

**Beware of the "Here and There" Syndrome: Stay Committed to Your Purpose**

In life, many people fall into the "here and there" syndrome, where they chase after every opportunity, idea, or distraction that comes their way, without a clear focus or commitment to their purpose. This scattered approach leads to frustration, lack of progress, and wasted potential. To fulfill your God-given purpose, it is crucial to stay focused, avoid distractions, and commit fully to your calling.

### **1. Avoid Distractions and Stay Focused on Your Purpose**

Distractions are inevitable in life, but allowing them to steer you away from your purpose can hinder the plans God has for you. The Bible advises against being double-minded or easily swayed. James 1:8 says, **"A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways."** When we lack focus, we become unstable, and our spiritual growth and progress suffer. Like a runner focused on the finish line, we must press on toward the goal, undeterred by the distractions around us.

### **2. Stay Committed to Your God-Given Assignment**

Ecclesiastes 9:10 encourages us to be diligent in our work: **"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might."** This means putting all our energy into the tasks God has assigned us, without wavering. If we commit fully to our purpose, God will bless our efforts. When we stay committed, like Nehemiah rebuilding the wall in Jerusalem, we accomplish great things. Nehemiah 6:3 says, **“I am doing a great work, and I cannot come down."** Despite opposition and distractions, Nehemiah stayed focused on his task, which led to the successful completion of the wall.

### **3. Set Your Mind on Things Above**

Colossians 3:2 reminds us to, **"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things."** When we focus on our heavenly purpose, we are less likely to be swayed by fleeting distractions. Jesus Himself set the example of staying focused on His mission despite opposition, temptations, and challenges (Luke 9:51). He remained steadfast in fulfilling His purpose of redeeming humanity.

### **4. Seek God's Guidance to Stay on Track**

Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to, **"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."** A key part of avoiding distractions is seeking God's guidance daily. By submitting our plans to God and seeking His wisdom, we ensure that we remain on the path He has set for us.

### **5. The Danger of Chasing After Every Opportunity**

Chasing every opportunity can lead to exhaustion and confusion. The Bible warns against this in Proverbs 12:11, **"Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies have no sense."** Rather than chasing fantasies or jumping from one thing to another, we are called to be faithful in our current assignments, trusting that God will open the right doors at the right time.

### **6. Endure and Persevere in Your Purpose**

Hebrews 12:1-2 encourages us to **“run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith."** Staying committed to your purpose requires endurance, especially when faced with challenges or distractions. By keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, we are empowered to persevere and finish the race God has called us to.

In conclusion, as we reflect on the importance of staying committed to our God-given purpose, we honor a man who has exemplified this principle throughout his life—Bishop David Oyedepo.

On this special occasion of your 70th birthday, we celebrate your unwavering dedication to the call of God and your impact on millions around the world. Your life is a testament to the power of staying focused on divine purpose, and through your obedience and steadfastness, generations have been blessed. May God continue to strengthen and uphold you as you advance His kingdom, and may your impact increase even further in the years to come.

Happy 70th birthday, Bishop David Oyedepo! May God grant you many more years of health, joy, and divine fulfillment in His service.

WORDSPIRATION: CELEBRATING DR DAVID OLANIYI OYEDEPO AT 70 DAY 2

Impact Demands Core Attention to One's Core Assignment

True impact in life is only possible when you focus on the specific purpose or assignment God has given you. Just as Jesus focused on His earthly mission, we must align ourselves with God's purpose for our lives, staying committed and undistracted.

This principle is reflected throughout Scripture, where individuals fulfill their divine calling by focusing on their core assignment.

1. The Importance of Knowing Your Core Assignment

The first step to having a true impact is understanding your purpose. God has a unique assignment for each individual, which requires personal discovery and alignment with His will.

Ephesians 2:10: "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

This verse highlights that God has designed each of us with a specific purpose, and we are called to walk in those good works He has planned for us.

Jeremiah 1:5: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

Like Jeremiah, God has uniquely formed each person with a specific calling, and recognizing this assignment is the foundation for making a lasting impact.

2. Focus: The Key to True Impact

Once you’ve discovered your assignment, your impact will depend on your ability to focus on it. Distractions and diversions will always arise, but the Bible repeatedly shows that those who focus on their calling produce great results.

Philippians 3:13-14: "Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

Paul exemplifies a focused pursuit of his divine purpose, pressing on toward his heavenly goal without letting distractions from the past hinder him.

Luke 9:62: "Jesus replied, 'No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.'"

Jesus teaches the importance of maintaining a forward focus in the pursuit of God’s kingdom work. Looking back or becoming distracted compromises one’s effectiveness.

3. Faithfulness to Your Assignment Brings True Impact

The Bible highlights the value of faithfulness and perseverance in fulfilling one’s calling. Those who remain steadfast in their assignment ultimately see God’s blessings and make a lasting impact.

Matthew 25:21: "His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’"

This parable shows that faithfulness in fulfilling even the small tasks God assigns leads to greater responsibilities and impact.

2 Timothy 4:7: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."

Paul reflects on the importance of perseverance and finishing the race. Completing your core assignment is key to achieving true impact.

4. Avoiding Distractions: Staying Aligned with Your Assignment

In a world filled with distractions, we must remain aligned with God's will for our lives. Jesus is the ultimate example of a person who remained focused on His core assignment despite numerous challenges and temptations.

Hebrews 12:2: "Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Jesus stayed focused on His mission because He looked beyond the immediate pain and focused on the ultimate goal. We too must keep our eyes on the prize of fulfilling God's assignment.

Nehemiah 6:3: "So I sent messengers to them with this reply: 'I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and go down to you?'"

Nehemiah stayed focused on rebuilding Jerusalem’s walls despite distractions. His response illustrates the need to guard against anything that diverts us from our core assignment.

5. The Reward of Focused Impact: Eternal Significance

When we focus on our core assignment, the impact we make has both temporal and eternal value. By aligning ourselves with God’s will, we contribute to His kingdom in ways that last beyond our lifetime.

1 Corinthians 15:58: "Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."

Our efforts, when focused on God's work, are never wasted. They have eternal significance and bear fruit that lasts.

As we reflect on the power of focus and the fulfillment of one’s divine assignment, we are reminded of a living example of these principles in action—Dr. David Olaniyi Oyedepo

On this special occasion of his 70th birthday, (Sept 27th, 2024) we celebrate a man who has remained steadfast in his God-given assignment, impacting millions through his dedication to the Kingdom of God, with uncommon and unparalleled commitment to soul winning!

Happy 70th Birthday, Dr. David Oyedepo!

Your life of focus, faith, and unwavering commitment to your calling has inspired generations. Your impact on the world, through education, ministry, and leadership, has demonstrated what it means to stay true to one’s core assignment. May God continue to strengthen, bless, and uplift you as you advance His kingdom.

We pray for continued grace, wisdom, and favor in your life. As you enter this new chapter, may your influence and impact only grow, touching even more lives for Christ.

God bless you for being a shining example of what it means to make a true and lasting impact.

Happy Birthday and God bless you!

Redemption Elevates Us to a Heavenly Standard

We are not only redeemed from sin but elevated to live a life reflecting God’s glory, set apart from the world.
Scripture Reference:
Philippians 3:20 – "But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ."

Redemption is a divine process of setting us apart for a life of purpose, excellence, and distinction. Through Christ, we are no longer bound by the past but are called into a life of significance. We are His chosen vessels, redeemed to reflect His glory in every area of life.

COVENANT HOUR OF PRAYER | 20, SEPTEMBER 2024 | FAITH TABERNACLE OTA.

THE UPGRADED SOUL by Kay Daniels

The concepts of a "living soul" and a "quickening spirit" come from the Bible and have rich theological significance, particularly in understanding the nature of humanity and the transformative work of Christ.

Living Soul

The term "living soul" appears in the creation account in Genesis. It describes the state of man at the moment of creation when God breathed life into Adam:

  • Genesis 2:7 (KJV): “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.”

This emphasizes that humanity's life originates from God's breath, making man a living, conscious being with physical, emotional, and intellectual capacities. As a "living soul," man is distinct from other creatures because he carries the image of God within him (Genesis 1:27).

In this state, however, humanity is still limited to the natural, earthly existence, subject to death and decay as a result of sin. The "living soul" represents our natural, mortal state as created beings.

Quickening Spirit

The phrase "quickening spirit" is used by the Apostle Paul about Jesus Christ in His resurrection. In contrast to the "living soul," which represents our natural, earthly life, the "quickening spirit" refers to a life-giving, spiritual transformation that Jesus brings:

  • 1 Corinthians 15:45 (KJV): “And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.”

Here, Paul contrasts Adam, the first man, with Jesus, who is referred to as the "last Adam." Adam became a "living soul" by God’s breath, but he and his descendants were subject to sin and death. Jesus, through His resurrection, became a "quickening spirit" — that is, a life-giving spirit who grants eternal life to those who believe in Him.

Where the "living soul" describes the mortal life of humanity, the "quickening spirit" represents the transformative power of Christ's resurrection, which brings spiritual life, renewal, and eternal existence beyond physical death. Christ, as the "quickening spirit," offers new life through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Key Differences:

  • Living Soul: Refers to man's natural, earthly life. Adam was a "living soul," capable of physical life but subject to sin and death.
  • Quickening Spirit: Refers to Christ's resurrected, life-giving power. Jesus, as the "quickening spirit," transforms believers by giving them eternal life and spiritual renewal through His Spirit.

Spiritual Application

For believers, this transformation from "living soul" to "quickening spirit" is a picture of the spiritual journey. We are born into this world as "living souls," with earthly, natural desires. But through faith in Christ, we receive the Holy Spirit, who gives us new, spiritual life and transforms us into the image of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18).

  • Romans 8:11: “But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

Through this life-giving spirit, believers can experience spiritual vitality, renewal, and a foretaste of the eternal life to come. We are no longer limited by our earthly existence but can live with the power and authority that Christ gives through His Spirit.

Conclusion

The transition from "living soul" to "quickening spirit" marks the difference between our natural, mortal existence and the supernatural, eternal life offered through Jesus Christ. In Christ, we are transformed, not just to live for this life, but to experience spiritual renewal and the fullness of eternal life with God.

AWAKENING THE GIANT IN YOU 2 by Kay Daniels

Introduction:

In every person lies untapped potential, a well of greatness that often remains dormant due to fear, doubt, or life's challenges. Just as the Israelites once stood before the giants of Canaan, overwhelmed by their size and strength, we too face giants in our lives—obstacles that seem insurmountable. Yet, within each of us is a greater giant waiting to be awakened: the strength, faith, and purpose God has placed in our hearts.

This message seeks to inspire you to unlock the giant within. By embracing personal growth, vision, leadership, and spiritual awakening, we can overcome life's challenges and walk in the fullness of our God-given potential. Through biblical truths, we will explore how to awaken this giant within and live boldly for God, transforming our lives and the world around us.

Awakening the giants within us—unlocking our potential, overcoming challenges, and growing into our full capacity—aligns with many biblical teachings on faith, courage, and purpose. Here are some key aspects of this theme, with appropriate biblical references:

1. Personal Growth and Self-Mastery

Resilience and Grit: God empowers us to endure challenges and become stronger through them.

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” (James 1:2-3)

“I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)

Emotional Intelligence: Developing wisdom and understanding for navigating life.

“The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7)

“Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end.” (Proverbs 29:11)

Developing Personal Growth and Self-Mastery involves intentional actions, self-reflection, and reliance on faith and discipline. Here are the key steps to guide you in this journey:

Steps to Discover Purpose and Vision

Discovering your purpose and vision in life is a journey that requires introspection, spiritual guidance, and intentional action. Here’s a step-by-step guide, grounded in biblical principles, to help you uncover your God-given purpose and craft a clear vision for your life:

Steps to Spiritual and Moral Awakening

Spiritual and moral awakening is a transformative journey that brings individuals closer to God and aligns their lives with higher moral and ethical standards. It involves recognizing the need for change, pursuing a deeper relationship with God, and living according to His will. Here are essential steps to guide you toward spiritual and moral awakening:

a. Recognize the Need for Awakening

  • Acknowledge Spiritual Dryness: The first step toward spiritual awakening is recognizing that something is missing in your spiritual life. Acknowledge areas where you’ve drifted from God or where your morals have weakened.
    • “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

    • “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” (Matthew 5:6)

b. Repent and Seek Forgiveness

  • Confess and Turn Away from Sin: True awakening begins with repentance. Recognize areas of sin and moral failure, confess them to God, and turn away from them.
    • “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
  • Receive God's Grace and Forgiveness: Accept the grace and forgiveness God offers. Allow His love to cleanse your heart and restore you spiritually.
    • “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

c. Seek a Deeper Relationship with God

  • Commit to Prayer and Intimacy with God: Spiritual awakening requires deep communion with God. Spend time in prayer, meditating on His Word, and listening to the Holy Spirit.
    • “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8)

    • “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.” (Psalm 42:1)

d. Renew Your Mind with God’s Word

  • Study and Meditate on Scripture: God’s Word is the foundation of spiritual and moral awakening. As you read and meditate on the Bible, your mind is renewed, and your heart is transformed.
    • “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2)
  • Apply Biblical Principles to Life: Let the principles of God’s Word guide your decisions, actions, and moral values. Spiritual awakening isn’t just about knowing God’s Word but living it out.
    • “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” (James 1:22)

    • “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16)
  • Receive the Spirit's Empowerment: The Holy Spirit empowers you to live a life of moral excellence and spiritual vitality. Ask the Spirit to fill you and enable you to live out God’s purpose.
    • “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses.” (Acts 1:8)

h. Practice Spiritual Disciplines Regularly

  • Engage in Fasting, Prayer, and Worship: Spiritual disciplines like fasting, prayer, and worship create an environment for spiritual awakening. Through these practices, you humble yourself and open your heart to God’s transformation.

    • “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 3:18)
  • Remain Open to Conviction and Change: Stay humble and allow the Holy Spirit to continually convict you of areas where you need to change. Be willing to adjust your lifestyle, thoughts, and habits as God leads.
    • “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” (Psalm 51:10)

By following these steps, you will experience a deeper spiritual awakening and a renewed sense of moral integrity. As you walk in alignment with God’s will, you’ll not only transform your own life but also become a light to others, influencing the world with your faith and character.

Awakening the Giant in You 1 by Kay Daniels

Awakening the Giant in You
(Inspired by Unleash Your Purpose)

The core message of awakening the giant within is discovering and living out your God-given purpose. Your life has a unique purpose instilled by God, and by aligning your actions with this divine intent, the giant within you is awakened. This awakening transforms the soul, encompassing various faculties like imagination, memory, intellect, emotion, and will. When these aspects of the soul are upgraded, they come under the influence of God's Spirit, and the giant within you is fully unleashed.

1. Understanding Your Divine Purpose

Purpose is the reason for your existence, designed by God. Just as every invention is made for a specific function, your life has a distinct purpose that aligns with God's plan. Awakening the giant within involves discovering and fulfilling this divine purpose, which brings you into harmony with God's will.

2. The Soul and Its Components

The human soul is made up of five primary faculties: imagination, memory, intellect, emotion, and will. These faculties govern your thoughts, decisions, and actions, and they play a vital role in your journey toward purpose.

  • Imagination is the creative power of the mind, the ability to see beyond the physical and envision possibilities.
  • Memory stores past experiences, shaping how you view the future.
  • Intellect processes information, enabling understanding and discernment.
  • Emotion is your capacity to feel, motivating you toward action.
  • Will is the decision-making faculty, the driving force behind your actions.

When the soul is aligned with God’s Spirit, each of these faculties is transformed. The soul becomes upgraded, and every aspect of your being is awakened to fulfill its highest potential.

3. The Spiritual Upgrading of the Soul

As the soul is upgraded through the awakening process, each faculty comes under the influence of the Holy Spirit:

  • Imagination is inspired by the Spirit of Understanding (Isaiah 11:2). This opens your mind to divine insights and ideas, allowing you to see beyond natural limitations.
  • Memory is renewed by the Spirit of Knowledge, enabling you to recall God’s truths and promises that empower your purpose. You no longer dwell on past failures but focus on the wisdom and lessons that shape your future.
  • Intellect is enhanced by the Spirit of Wisdom, which helps you navigate life with clarity and sound judgment. James 1:5 reminds us that “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
  • Emotion is guided by the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord, which brings reverence and humility into your actions. Emotions become balanced, allowing you to act with compassion and love, as exemplified in Proverbs 9:10: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”
  • Will is led by the Spirit of Counsel, which directs you in making choices aligned with God's purpose for your life. Your will becomes anchored in God’s divine guidance.

4. The Power of Vision

Vision is a key element in awakening the giant within. It allows you to see your potential and purpose clearly, fueled by a spiritually upgraded imagination. Without a vision, your life lacks direction. Proverbs 29:18 teaches us, "Where there is no vision, the people perish." Vision empowers the giant in you to pursue God's plan for your life.

5. Overcoming Fear and Obstacles

The giant within you must rise above fear and adversity. Fear often seeks to paralyze the soul, but God has given you a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). With the soul's faculties upgraded by the Spirit, you face challenges with courage and resilience. You are no longer bound by fear, but empowered by divine strength.

6. Taking Action and Living with Purpose

Purpose is not passive; it demands action. The intellect and will, when inspired by wisdom and divine counsel, lead you to take meaningful steps toward your goals. As James 2:26 reminds us, "Faith without works is dead." Your faith must be accompanied by deeds that reflect the giant within you.

7. Maximizing Your Potential

God has equipped you with talents and abilities, just like the servants in the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30). To awaken the giant within, you must maximize these gifts, using them wisely to fulfill your purpose. This is where the upgraded intellect and imagination combine to creatively and intelligently deploy your resources for God’s glory.

8. Trusting God's Timing

The process of awakening the giant involves trusting God’s perfect timing. As Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, "There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens." Patience is essential as God works behind the scenes to unfold your purpose. Your will, inspired by divine counsel, learns to wait on the Lord's timing.

9. Overcoming Trials with God's Strength

The journey of awakening the giant is not without challenges. However, through Christ, you can do all things. Philippians 4:13 empowers you to persevere through trials, knowing that God strengthens you at every step. With the soul’s faculties fortified by the Spirit, you overcome obstacles with faith and determination.

10. Leaving a Lasting Legacy

Awakening the giant within not only transforms your life but also impacts those around you. Your life of purpose leaves a legacy that others will benefit from, creating a ripple effect that lasts for generations. Proverbs 13:22 teaches, "A good person leaves an inheritance for their children's children." As you live out your purpose, you build a legacy grounded in wisdom, knowledge, and God’s truth.

Conclusion: Awaken the Giant Within

Awakening the giant in you begins with discovering and living your God-given purpose. As your soul—comprising imagination, memory, intellect, emotion, and will—comes under the influence of God's Spirit, you are equipped to rise to your fullest potential. Trusting in God’s timing, taking action, and overcoming obstacles, you live a life of meaning, influence, and divine purpose. The giant within you is not just for your own benefit but for the world around you, leading others to awaken their own giants and fulfill their destinies in God's grand plan.
