WORDSPIRATION DAILY WITH SCRIPTURES - ACTS CHAPTER 24

ECCCYI

WORDSPIRATION

You cannot be anointed and be afflicted. The anointed are always needed because they cannot be avoided. The anointing is always pinpointing the elect. The anointing is self announcing.

The anointing is always promoting its carriers. The anointing is key to breakthroughs.

But what really is the anointing? In simple words, the anointing means to smear or rub something, or and out pouring.

For example to pour oil on someone or something is regarded as an anointing with oil.

It is a form of branding. Whatever is branded is actually given an identity. Before the coming of satchet water all we knew in this part of the world was ice water. It was sold in "unnammed nylon bags". But now we have satchet water that comes with labels ot tags that gives it an specific identity. So you can choose to patronize a particular kind of satchet water based on quality or availability.

This is the samething the anointing does, it confers on you an Identity. David was a no body until he was smeared with the oil and something happened.

1 Samuel 16:13 (KJV)  Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

He was anointed with oil, but what actually took place was in the realm of the spirit. The Spirit of the lord had interactive access to the spirit of man. A koinonia was established. A fellowship of the spirits.

This is what made kings untouchable, possessing great power. Ecclesiastes 8:4 (KJV)  Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?

The power that is resident in the king came from the smearing of the spiritman with the Spirit of the Lord, but in the physical realm represented by the oil. The oil serves as body that conveys the Spirit of the lord to the earthly realms. And on whatetver the oil rested, the Spirit of the lord that possesses withing it the spirit of Understanding, Knowledge, Wisdom, the fear of God, Counsel, Might and quick Understanding is released.

Isaiah 11:2-3 (KJV)  And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

All these forces comes on whomsover the oil from the preisthood rest upon. All these happen to kings, judges, prophets and other very few individuals in the old covenant.

But what a Joy, the new covenant introduces a better format. In the new covenant as long as you receive Jesus as lord and saviour, you are qualified for an outpouring.

This outpouring can be likened to a candle with flame 🔥🔥 on it.

Proverbs 20:27 (KJV)  The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.

Salvation entitles your spirit man to carry a flame (The Spirit of the Lord) that burns on it. Little wonder, when the Holy Spirit made His grand entry at Pentecost, something phenomenal happened.

Acts 2:3 (KJV) And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

This signifies the anointing of the spirit man. A communion of the spirit was established. A new kingdom had arrived with its label or tag that gave identity to as many has received Him.

What is this new identify?

Luke 24:49 (KJV) And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

John 1:12 (KJV) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

With the coming of anointing, your new identity is power.

1 Corinthians 1:24 (KJV) But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

May this day confer on you kingdom identity in demonstration of power and uncommon wisdom.

Everyone would recognize your brand today. Good morning and have a wordspired day as you study todays scripture. Shalom.

Acts 24

King James Version

24 And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul.

2 And when he was called forth, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy great quietness, and that very worthy deeds are done unto this nation by thy providence,

3 We accept it always, and in all places, most noble Felix, with all thankfulness.

4 Notwithstanding, that I be not further tedious unto thee, I pray thee that thou wouldest hear us of thy clemency a few words.

5 For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:

6 Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom we took, and would have judged according to our law.

7 But the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,

8 Commanding his accusers to come unto thee: by examining of whom thyself mayest take knowledge of all these things, whereof we accuse him.

9 And the Jews also assented, saying that these things were so.

10 Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:

11 Because that thou mayest understand, that there are yet but twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem for to worship.

12 And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:

13 Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me.

14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void to offence toward God, and toward men.

17 Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings.

18 Whereupon certain Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, neither with multitude, nor with tumult.

19 Who ought to have been here before thee, and object, if they had ought against me.

20 Or else let these same here say, if they have found any evil doing in me, while I stood before the council,

21 Except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this day.

22 And when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will know the uttermost of your matter.

23 And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.

24 And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.

25 And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.

26 He hoped also that money should have been given him of Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him.

27 But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix' room: and Felix, willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound.
