DAILY WISDOM WORDSPIRATION WITH PROVERBS CHAPTER 5

ECCCYI

Glory to God, it is another weekend of God's goodness. This weekend shall culminate in your progress and goodwill. The hand of God shall be vivid in your life. Nothing shall by any means hurt you. You are coming out of every difficulty. You are stepping up to greatness.

STEP UP YOUR ATTITUDE

According to my father in the faith, Dr David Oyedepo, "Nothing devalues skill and commitment like wrong attitude." Attitude is not what you see, it is actually how you see what you see. At the root of maturity is a qualitative attitude.

For instance, some people are so skillful but lack good people skills. They look down of others and feel they are just too much. They invariably create unhealthy boundaries around their lives.

Some are not just fond of seeing anything good in successful people. When they see any successful person, they assume they are all evil or corrupt. That kind of attitude can only keep people on the floor. What you celebrate is what improves or multiplies in your life. What you despise, you dispel, repel and eventually expel.

Wisdom, according to one of my great mentors, Dr Mike Murdock is the ability to discern difference. When you know what makes you different from another person, you will acquire the wisdom that attitude teaches. See your difference as an opportunity to improve or impart.

A good attitude is the life wire of faith, love and Vision. When you have faith or believe in God, you will surely love people and automatically see far ahead of your peers. You will be accelerated for greatness. If you are committed to reading this articles on a daily basis, get set to step out of mediority and step up to global influence.

Philippians 2:9 - 11
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature[a] God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature[b] of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Pitfalls of Immorality

5 My son, be attentive to my wisdom [godly wisdom learned by costly experience],
Incline your ear to my understanding;
That you may exercise discrimination and discretion (good judgment),
And your lips may reserve knowledge and answer wisely [to temptation].
For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey [like a honeycomb]
And her speech is smoother than oil;
But in the end she is bitter like [the extract of] wormwood,
Sharp as a two-edged sword.
Her feet go down to death;
Her steps take hold of Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead),
So that she does not think [seriously] about the path of life;
Her ways are aimless and unstable; you cannot know where her path leads.

Now then, my sons, listen to me
And do not depart from (forget) the words of my mouth.
Let your way [in life] be far from her,
And do not go near the door of her house [avoid even being near the places of temptation],
Or you will give your honor to others,
And your years to the cruel one,
10
And strangers will be filled with your strength
And your hard-earned wealth will go to the house of a foreigner [who does not know God];
11
And you will groan when your life is ending,
When your flesh and your body are consumed;
12
And you say, “How I hated instruction and discipline,
And my heart despised correction and reproof!
13
“I have not listened to the voice of my teachers,
Nor have I inclined my ear to those who instructed me.
14
“I was almost in total ruin
In the midst of the assembly and congregation.”

15
[a]Drink water from your own [b]cistern [of a pure marriage relationship]
And fresh running water from your own well.
16
Should your [c]springs (children) be dispersed,
As streams of water in the streets?
17
[Confine yourself to your own wife.] Let your children be yours alone,
And not the children of strangers with you.
18
Let your fountain (wife) be blessed [with the rewards of fidelity],
And rejoice in the wife of your youth.
19
Let her be as a loving hind and graceful doe,
Let her breasts refresh and satisfy you at all times;
Always be [d]exhilarated and delight in her love.
20
Why should you, my son, be exhilarated with an immoral woman
And embrace the bosom of an outsider (pagan)?
21
For the ways of man are directly before the eyes of the Lord,
And He carefully watches all of his paths [all of his comings and goings].
22
The iniquities done by a wicked man will trap him,
And he will be held with the cords of his sin.
23
He will die for lack of instruction (discipline),
And in the greatness of his foolishness he will go astray and be lost.
