We are agents wired for kingdom influence. God created man primarily for leadership. According to J C Maxwell, leadership is influence. Closely observing the purpose for which God created man and place him on this side if the divide, he said "Genesis 1:26 (KJV) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." So man was custom built for leadership. He was designed to influence earth. This was in the beginning and is still the sole reason why God created man. This then means that the only reason Jesus came to die for mankind is to reestablish man's leadership of planet earth.
