Day 24 | Theme: Recognizing the Difference Between Good and God

Prophetic Focus:

LIGHTS FOR DIVINE RECOGNITION

Scriptural Opener

Old Testament:

  • 1 Samuel 16:7
  • Proverbs 14:12
  • Isaiah 55:8–9
  • Psalm 127:1
  • Jeremiah 10:23

New Testament:

  • Matthew 7:21–23
  • Romans 12:2
  • 1 Corinthians 2:9–10
  • Galatians 1:6–9
  • 1 John 2:15–17

Inspirational Word

Often, the greatest enemy of God's best is what is "good" or "acceptable." Many believers settle for a good job, a good ministry, or a good plan, and they miss the God plan. The difference between good and God is subtle but significant. God's plan often seems foolish to the world, while a "good" plan seems logical and safe.

You must learn to recognize the difference. God's plan will often require a step of faith into the unknown. It will challenge your comfort zone. It will also produce lasting fruit. If a "good" opportunity brings you peace but not purpose, it might not be God's best.

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you see beyond what looks good to what is truly divine.
