DAY 25 — BREAK EVERY YOKE OF FEAR

Old Testament: Isaiah 41:10–13
New Testament: 2 Timothy 1:6–7
Memory Verse: “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

WORDSPIRATION — BREAK EVERY YOKE OF FEAR

Fear is one of the greatest enemies of human potential. It can make a person see impossibility where God has placed opportunity, retreat where God is calling them forward, and remain silent when God has given them a voice. Fear can affect individuals, families, communities and nations. It can be produced by insecurity, poverty, uncertainty about the future, rejection, failure, persecution, disappointment or painful experiences from the past. But the message of Scripture is clear: fear does not have the final authority over the life of a child of God.

In Isaiah 41:10, God says, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God.” What a powerful assurance! God does not merely tell us not to fear; He gives us the reason we can overcome fear—His presence. When God is with you, you are never facing the battle alone. His hand can strengthen you when you are weak, uphold you when you are falling, and lead you when you cannot see the road ahead. Your circumstances may be intimidating, but God's presence is greater than your circumstances.

Paul's instruction to Timothy in 2 Timothy 1:6–7 is also a call to spiritual courage: “Stir up the gift of God, which is in thee.” Fear can cause people to bury their gifts. Someone may have a calling but be afraid to start. Someone may have a testimony but be afraid to share it. Someone may have a dream but be afraid of failure. Someone may know Christ but be afraid to publicly identify with Him. Yet God has not deposited His Spirit in us so that fear can imprison our potential. The Spirit of God produces power, love and a sound mind.

Today, wherever you are in the world, hear this invitation: you do not have to remain imprisoned by fear. If fear has kept you from surrendering your life to Jesus Christ, come to Him. Jesus did not come only to improve our circumstances; He came to save us from sin and reconcile us to God. His saving grace is available to every nation, every tribe, every people and every generation. Whether you are in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America or Australia and Oceania, the invitation remains the same: come to Jesus Christ, receive His grace, and allow His Spirit to transform your life.

Fear may tell you that tomorrow will be worse, but faith reminds you that God is already in tomorrow. Fear may tell you that your past has disqualified you, but grace declares that there is redemption in Christ. Fear may tell you that you are too weak, too poor, too broken or too insignificant, but God says, “I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee.” Therefore, arise today. Stir up the gift within you. Pray again. Believe again. Serve again. Love again. Dream again. And most importantly, trust Jesus Christ completely. The world needs people who will not be governed by fear but guided by faith, truth, love and the power of the Holy Spirit.

🙏 PRAYER

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank You because You have not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. Every yoke of fear over my life, family, calling, future and purpose is broken. Give me courage to obey You, wisdom to make righteous decisions, and strength to face every challenge before me. Let Your presence drive out fear and let Your Holy Spirit awaken every gift You have placed within me.

Lord Jesus, draw people across the nations to Your saving grace. Let those who are bound by fear, sin, hopelessness and despair encounter Your mercy. May families, communities and nations experience the transforming power of the Gospel. Let Your light shine where fear, violence, hatred and uncertainty have taken root.

🌍 KINGDOM ADVANCEMENT

🇳🇬 NIGERIA — COURAGE FOR A NEW SEASON

Father, we commit Nigeria into Your hands. As the nation moves toward the 2027 general elections, let fear, violence, intimidation and manipulation not determine the nation's future. Give citizens courage to participate peacefully and responsibly. Grant wisdom to political leaders, electoral institutions, security agencies, religious leaders and citizens.

Lord, intervene in the insecurity affecting communities across Nigeria. Bring an end to terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, communal violence and every form of criminality. Protect innocent families and strengthen communities affected by violence.

Father, remember Nigerians facing hunger, unemployment, poverty and economic hardship. Provide food for families, opportunities for young people and wisdom for those responsible for economic decisions. Let corruption, injustice and exploitation give way to righteousness, accountability and responsible leadership.

Above all, let Nigeria experience a spiritual awakening. May Nigerians discover that lasting hope cannot be found merely in political power, wealth or human systems, but ultimately in Jesus Christ. Raise men and women who will fear God, love truth and serve humanity.
