PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES:

The Anointing for work

By Kay Daniels

By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, in the month of May 2018, we shall be believing God for His hand that makes all the difference. It is however one thing for the hand of God (Christ or the anointing) to be upon a man, and another thing entirely for the man to be thoroughly equipped to maximize the deliveries available with the hand of God.

"But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me." 1 Corinthians 15:10

So it is one thing to have grace or Christ or the anointing, but all these great virtues cannot deliver maximally without engaging in the right work.

It is abundant work that gives real value to grace, Christ or the anointing.

I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

What is work? "This is activity involving mental or physical effort done in order to achieve a result." We can safely say that work is doing something.

This also means that, we can read Philippians 4:13 like this, "I can work with the strength which Christ or the anointing is supplying me."

So we are primarily anointed for work. The work can be mental or physical.

The first thing God gave the first man to ever walk the face of the earth was work.

"And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed." Genesis 2:8

Work is very key to personal development.

Whatever you do not work, never works out.

"Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people." Colossians 3:23

To work is to mind your own business in a bid to gain some respect in the eyes of unbelievers. As children of the most high God, we are not wired to be dependent on others, rather our DNA is such that, others are to depend on us. And to walk in that reality, there is need to embrace work.

"Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before. Then people who are not Christians will respect the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others." 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 NLT

THREE KEY INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR THE FLOW OF THE ANOINTING FOR WORK:

1. LOVE.

It is wisdom to locate and do what the love of God puts in your heart.

Love is what sponsors the passion to engage properly with work.

When you locate via the love of God, what you should be doing, nothing can easily distract you from it.

Love never fails. It always delivers. "Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages  and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever!"  1 Corinthians 13:8 NLT

Loving God opens you up to revelation and deep insights into what you should be doing.

"That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared
for those who love him.”
But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets." 1 Corinthians 2:9-10
When you love God, you gain uncheckered access  to the specific kind of work you should be doing.
You love for God empowers your spirit man to receive from the Spirit of God, the things that pertain to the kind of work you should be doing.
If God is love and God is a Spirit, then your love for God enhances your Spiritual or divine nature. It also opens you up to the secrets of God that makes kingdom stars.
"As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle ....." Job 29:4 KJV

But how do I know that i truly love God?

1. You will gladly receive him as your lord and personal saviour.

You cannot love him and not receive his gift of salvation.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever          believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

2. The only thing your heart would seek after is his kingdom.

The kingdom of God would be your only priority for living.
You will only be interested in ventures, deals or businesses that impact positively and generously on the kingdom.
Anything that does not have a kingdom appeal does not easily catch your fancy.
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33

3. You would be in active partnership with the Holy ghost.

It is the holy Ghost that fan up your love for God.

Outside the Holy Ghost, you cannot truly love God.

"And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." Romans 5:5

4. You do unto others, as you want them to do to you

The love of God burning in your heart naturally finds expression in the life of those that come in contact with you.

You just see that you cannot think evil, talk evil or do evil against other people. You are always quick to forgive.
