WISDOM QUOTES ON CREATIVITY

2. “There is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost.”  — Martha Graham
3. “Creativity is thinking up new things. Innovation is doing new things.” — Theodore Levitt
4. “A new idea is delicate. It can be killed by a sneer or a yawn; it can be stabbed to death by a quip and worried to death by a frown on the right man’s brow.”  — Charles Brower
5. “When we engage in what we are naturally suited to do, our work takes on the quality of play and it is play that stimulates creativity.” –  Linda Naiman
6. “The creative is the place where no one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you’ll discover will be wonderful. What you’ll discover is yourself.” — Alan Alda
7. “It is better to have enough ideas for some of them to be wrong, than to be always right by having no ideas at all.” — Edward de Bono
8. “A painter told me that nobody could draw a tree without in some sort becoming a tree; or draw a child by studying the outlines of its form merely . . . but by watching for a time his motions and plays, the painter enters into his nature and can then draw him at every attitude . . .” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
9. “Genius means little more than the faculty of perceiving in an unhabitual way.” — William James
10. “The creative person wants to be a know-it-all. He wants to know about all kinds of things-ancient history, nineteenth century mathematics, current manufacturing techniques, hog futures. Because he never knows when these ideas might come together to form a new idea. It may happen six minutes later, or six months, or six years. But he has faith that it will happen.” — Carl Ally

14. “The key question isn’t “What fosters creativity?” But it is why in God’s name isn’t everyone creative? Where was the human potential lost? How was it crippled? I think therefore a good question might be not why do people create? But why do people not create or innovate? We have got to abandon that sense of amazement in the face of creativity, as if it were a miracle if anybody created anything.” — Abraham Maslow
15. “Nothing is done. Everything in the world remains to be done or done over. The greatest picture is not yet painted, the greatest play isn’t written, the greatest poem is unsung. There isn’t in all the world a perfect railroad, nor a good government, nor a sound law. Physics, mathematics, and especially the most advanced and exact of the sciences are being fundamentally revised. . . Psychology, economics, and sociology are awaiting a Darwin, whose work in turn is awaiting an Einstein.” — Lincoln Steffens
16. “The world is but a canvas to the imagination.”  — Henry David Thoreau
17. “We have come to think of art and work as incompatible, or at least independent categories and have for the first time in history created an industry without art.”  — Ananda K. Coomaraswamy
18. “So you see, imagination needs moodling – long, inefficient, happy idling, dawdling and puttering.”  — Brenda Ueland
19. “Creativity is… seeing something that doesn’t exist already. You need to find out how you can bring it into being and that way be a playmate with God.” — Michele Shea
20. “The most potent muse of all is our own inner child.”
– Stephen Nachmanovitch

36. “Because of their courage, their lack of fear, they (creative people) are willing to make silly mistakes. The truly creative person is one who can think crazy; such a person knows full well that many of his great ideas will prove to be worthless. The creative person is flexible; he is able to change as the situation changes, to break habits, to face indecision and changes in conditions without undue stress. He is not threatened by the unexpected as rigid, inflexible people are.” — Frank Goble
37. “Invention strictly speaking, is little more than a new combination of those images which have been previously gathered and deposited in the memory; nothing can come from nothing.” — Sir Joshua Reynolds

47. “You become more divine as you become more creative. All the religions of the world have said God is the creator. I don’t know whether he is the creator or not, but one thing I know: the more creative you become, the more godly you become. When your creativity comes to a climax, when your whole life becomes creative, you live in God. So he must be the creator because people who have been creative have been closest to him. Love what you do. Be meditative while you are doing it – whatsoever it is!” — Osho
48. “Every day is an opportunity to be creative – the canvas is your mind, the brushes and colours are your thoughts and feelings, the panorama is your story, the complete picture is a work of art called, ‘my life’. The artist starts with a blank canvas – silence. The composer places it between and behind the notes. The very ground of your being, out of which comes all your thoughts, is silence. The way to silence is through meditation. When you arrive in your own silence you will know true freedom and real power. Stop, take a minute, and listen to the silence within you today. Then be aware of what disturbs your inner silence. It could be negative thoughts, memories, sensations. And when you are aware, you will know what is draining your creative power, and you will know what needs to change…on the inside!” — Relax7.com

Do not sell off your birthright

Brethren,

My nephew, a pastor living in Cameroon, sent this interesting message to me. I am sending these to my very beloved brothers and sisters in the Lord to encourage them too.

You may have read it before. If not then read on... It will take no more than 3 minutes.

Several years ago, a preacher from a distant town accepted a call from a church in Leeds. Some weeks after his arrival, he had an appointment that made him board a bus to another part of the town.

When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had mistakenly given him his balance over 50 pence. As he considered what to do, he thought within him, 'You'd better give this money back. It would be wrong to keep it. Then another thought came, "Oh, forget it, it's only 50p; who would worry about this little amount, after all the bus company makes so much money on fares; they will never miss it.

Accept it as a gift from God and keep quiet. "When he was getting down from the bus, he paused momentarily at the door, and then handed the 50p to the driver and said, 'Take; the balance you gave me was over'. The driver, with a smile, replied, 'Aren't you the new  preacher in town?'  'Yes I am' he replied.'Well, I have been thinking a lot lately about where to go to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you balance in excess. I'll worship with you at the church this Sunday.

When the preacher stepped off the bus, he grabbed a nearby electric pole, looked up, and said, 'Oh God, I almost sold your  Son for 50 pence. Our lifestyles are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is just a subtle example of how much people watch us as Christians, and will put us to the test!

Always be on guard -- and remember -- You carry the name of Christ on your forehead and shoulders once you call yourself a Christian. 'Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

I'm glad a friend forwarded this to me as a reminder and I  chose to forward it to you. If you don't pass this on to anybody, nothing bad will happen to u; but, if you do, you will have ministered to someone today and God will bless you.

If u must miss any place, don't miss HEAVEN. If u must miss any appointment, plz don't miss THE RAPTURE. If u must miss any meal, plz don't miss THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB. The end is no more NEAR, It's HERE. It's global evangelism day pls send this to all those you'll like to see in heaven.

Why Laws are Powerful

Today's Message at Palace of Creativity

The area in which you become successful is the area of your greatest influence.

Success begins with looking for a problem to solve.

When you offer to solve a problem, you land on the road to success.

Success begins with separating yourself from the pack or crowd.

Influence is the capacity to cause other people to cause other people to listen to you or follow after you.

Influence is when other people change their priority for yours.

Success therefore brings you influence.

You will never be successful until you have influence and you will never be influential if your are not successful.

The role of laws and rules in personal success.

If you must be successful you need to break the rules.

Your success and failures in life is based on you obeying rules.

Laws are universal and work for everyone that use them.

Laws makes life predictable.

Success is a result of Obedience to laws

Success is a result and not just a pursuit.

Be the best by following some rules and you will be successful.

It is working a law.

What is success?

1. Success is not what you have done compared to what others

have done.

You will always see someone ahead of you and below you.

Success is what you have done compared to what you ought to have done.

Success is the fulfillment of the original assignment compared to what you have done.

Success is fulfillment and completion of purpose and assignment for which you were born.

Jeremiah 29:11

It is doing what God purposed for your life is what determines success.

Success begins with first discovering why God created you.

If you do not reach the purpose why God created you, no matter

How many people celebrated you, you are a failure.

Ecc 10:10

Success comes quickly with skill.

Life is not just working hard but working smart or skillfully.

You can therefore work hard and become a failure.

Matt 16:19

Keys are laws or principles.

You control on earth what happens in heaven with the laws or principles you apply.

success is therefore not up to God but up to you.

God responds to laws and principles that you apply.

Success has more to do with moving in the right direction than getting to a destination.

It is about a process that a product.

Secret of Success

Joshua 1:8

God gave the responsibility of success to you.

Success is dependent on laws and principles.

Prosperity and good success is a function of obeyed to laws.

It is up to you whether you succeed or fail.

Success is therefore predictable.

No one becomes successful because someone prayed for them.

success is a product of obeying the law.

Why are laws so important?

The key to life is order.

Order comes from law

Laws protect, sustain, preserve, guide and promotes.

without laws there is no definition.

laws defines what must be done to succeed.

laws defines process

laws cannot be substituted by prayer

Prosperity does not come by prayer but by keeping laws

People who look for short cuts hate laws...

The longest way to success is a short cut.

Short cut means to violate rules...

Shortcuts is avoiding the process...

Natural laws Versus Supernatural Laws

1. Natural law is inherent in creation

2. Natural law establishes natural order

3. Natural law regulate natural relationships

Natural law cannot be changed

Natural law has built-in consequences

God does not really judge you, it is the inherent consequences

in the law that does.

4. Natural law has built in judgment

Spiritual laws

1. God established it

2. it establishes your conscience.

3. It is inherent in the human spirit

4. it regulates supernatural relationships

- you have to agree you know nothing

- you have to accept Christ into your life

5. it has built in consequences

1. Law is the inherent principle that regulate the nature of

life and relationship within creation.

Laws create relationship

2. Laws are both natural and supernatural, physical and spiritual

to guarantee maximum purpose and potential.

it is the truth about laws that makes free

Needs create laws

cars need petrol

fish need water

plant needs soil

Birds need air

Humans needs Oxygen

- Humans are the only creations that willingly challenge

established laws. We violate the laws.

Three Cherubim

Michael - director of military

Gabriel - director of communications/messenger

Lucifer - director of music/worship

A demon is a person out of position

Demon means tormented one

Laws give you control over life - it makes life predictable.

When you know and obey laws, you control the outcome.

proverbs 4:7

Understood laws makes wise and very bold.

People will pay you for a good memory.

wisdom is knowledge and principles applied.

Wisdom is application

when you know the laws you are in power.

You can be strong but not smart.

Strength is a function of applied laws and principles.

Overdose of grace mentality can make men break the law

Grace is not a call to abolish the laws.....

Greatness is anchored on keeping the laws.

Tradition and Grace cannot cancel the effect of the law.

Tradition is rule instituted by men - elders.

FEAR GOD Not EBOLA

Dear Family,

One of the best defenses against the spread of the Ebola virus is having the right kind of information. As a follow up to what we shared on Sunday, attached is the leaflet to keep you informed with accurate information about the Ebola virus as advised by the World Health Organization and US State Department.

Proactive Steps at TEC

The Elevation Church has and will continue to take measures to maintain a sanitary environment where you and your family can feel comfortable and secure.

1. All restrooms have and will continually be supplied with hand wash, as is normal, and children will be well-supervised to ensure thorough hand washing after making use of the rest rooms.
2. For crowd control and to provide better care of our children, anew crèche has been created where infants and toddlers can be given attention in a very sanitary environment. Gloves, wipes, disinfectants and sanitizers will be

utilized at the crèche to ensure the little ones are happy, healthy and safe.

3. Hand sanitizers will be provided in all the church gatherings and auditoriums (adults, children, pre-teens, teens, E200)

4. Information about the virus will be made available to keep the entire church informed about practical things to do at this time.

Above all else, in this season, our primary defense is God’s word. God has said that He will protect us and will not let any diseases or afflictions near us or near our loved ones. We must hold on to His word and ensure that
we spread faith not fear. Let us all stand firm in faith and entrust all our lives in His able care.

Psalm 91: 9-10: “Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the
Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any
plague come near your dwelling;”

Multiplied Grace,

Godman Akinlabi

PROPHETIC WORD FOR AUGUST 2014

NEW REALMS OF OPEN DOORS - Revelation 3:7-13

All through the month of July 2014, we obeyed the divine instruction given to us by the Holy Spirit to pray for others in need and ask nothing for ourselves while we studied the book of Job. It is a covenant truth that engaging in this act leads to a change of level. Abraham did and a longstanding issue became a testimony. Job also prayed for his friends and his captivity was rewarded with double portion. Jesus layed down his life and became the Christ. No doubt, this sacrificial act touches the heart of God for the release of sudden blessings.
The month of August shall witness the release of strange blessings, breakthroughs, lifting, promotions, fruitfulness, and open doors. However, every potential beneficiary of these high level blessings must be willing to return unto the lord. Zechariah 1:1-6. They must also be willing to invest in rigorous studies and research into the word. God is not just changing our levels but also opening new doors of opportunities at another dimension. To this end the month of August 2014 shall be our month of NEW REALMS OF OPEN DOORS. Rev 3:7-13 Our daily bible study shall be the entire book of Revelation.

At the Palace of Creativity this month, we shall be exploring CREATIVE MYSTERIES i.e the mystery of godliness, faith, blood, anointing oil, feet washing, communion, blood of sprinkling etc. Good understanding this month will procure mysterious favours leading to new realms of open doors.

STARDOM KEYS

There are multitudes of African youths in this generation who do not really live at all. They merely exist. They are slaves of a morbid ambition and a greed that has grown to be a monster. Many of these youths take very little comfort; they are always on a
strain to keep up appearances, to “keep up with the Jones,” and they themselves consistently are bordered about it, killing their legitimate comfort and enjoying through exhaustion of the strain and stress – and all for nothing that is real or permanent, nothing that adds to their spiritual, moral character or well-being.  Some of these youths go through life not doing the things they ought to do, what is best for their welfare and growth. Their lives are superficial because they do not live in or deal in realities. Everything about them is deceiving. They live masked lives. A few people know them as they really are. They only know them as they pretend to be. What do these people, who are always chasing shadows, get out of life anyway? There are kingdom keys that can help fix such dilemmas in the life of these youths. Here are a few of them that I have found:
1)       ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR NEED FOR GOD NOW AND ALWAYS.
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matt 5:3
You must be absolutely dependent on God for everything. Outside God, your star cannot shine for too long. The lights would soon go out. Only God dependent folks get the best of God. Whatever good thing that takes place in your life, be quick at giving the glory back to God. Glory is weighty and cannot be shouldered by “mortal gods”. You need to give it back to the “immortal” if you must gain speed in life.

2)       KNOW THAT CRISIS AND DIFFICULTIES ARE NEVER FOREVER.
Blesses are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Matt5:4

No matter what you are doing through right now, it is not permitted to last more than a moment or a night. Every crisis that stays more than a moment is a curse and demands your accepting spiritual responsibility.
As long as you are on earth, everything is subjected to time, they will come to pass. Crisis is always temporary. Just wait and prepare. Embrace the Chinese philosophy that sees opportunity in crisis. Say to yourself right now “I am coming out of what I am in right now!” See God in the race with you, and no disgrace will come to you.
See beyond your crisis. The truth is that, half of the things you worry about rarely happen. The season of failure is the best time to sow for success.

3)       BRING YOURSELF LOW AND DEMAND MORE FROM YOURSELF.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth Matt 5:5.

Self-discipline is the best form of discipline in the world. Demand more from yourself. It is difficult to succeed without discipline. Until you can control yourself, you can’t control life. Meekness is the character that secures for its carrier greatness. There is no true greatness without meekness. We all have a self that needs to be put under control if our star must shine. To have total control, you need to acknowledge the fact that God is in control and that you need to bring yourself under control.  The truth is that whatever is confronting you negatively that you cannot control has become a curse or has a demonic source. You need to fight it. Exercise rule over mouth, mind, eyes, hands, temper etc.

4)       DESIRE PERSONAL GROWTH AND NEVER STOP LEARNING
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst for Righteousness; for they shall be filled Matt 5:6
You need hunger to succeed in life. Shut things off to turn your priorities on. Always steal time to get at least a glance at knowledge. Self-impose standards on yourself.  Refuse mediocrity and push yourself beyond your limits. It is easy to learn something about everything than learning everything about something. Hunt for information and be a voracious eater of God’s word. Stars are committed thinkers, learners, readers and winners.

5)       ALLOW ROOM FOR OTHERS TO FAIL AND DON’T BE QUICK TO JUDGE OTHERS.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Matt 5:7

Rebuke people, but do not judge them. The truth is that small minded people are judged by themselves while great minds are judged by mediocre. The wise judges no one. Mercy is postponed judgement.  The truth is that, you cannot show mercy if you do not have power of judgement. Learn to forgive or to release people. You can’t afford to hold people down. Hold them down and you remain on the floor. Let them go and you are sure to move forward. When you hate someone so much that you wish them evil, it is like drinking poison and wishing the person you hate dies. Be wise, it you who drank the poison that is condemned to death.

6)       PROTECT AND CULTIVATE YOUR GOD MIND
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God Matt 5:8
Develop the attitude of seeing God in everything. When it is good, give glory to God for making it happen. When it is bad, give glory to God for not allowing it to be worse. Recognize godliness in everything. Have a pure mind towards everything. Learn from every experience.

7)       DETERMINE TO BE A POSITIVE INFLUENCE.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Matt 5:9
Be committed to bringing out the good in others. Believe in the best in people. Look for the best in every situation. Develop a contributor’s mind-set and not a borrower or beggars mind-set. Let people remember you for adding to them a star and not a scar.

8)       HAVE AN ENTHUSIASTIC AND GOOD ATTITUDE TOWARDS LIFE.
Blessed are those that are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matt 5:10
Nothing in life is to feared, but understood. Don’t take life too seriously. Develop the attitude of smiling at your challenges. When things seem rough, take a walk and talk to yourself and make some prayers to God. This would do your soul a lot of good. Live loosely when it comes to considering other people’s opinions. It is not worth it destroying yourself just because of what others think of you. It’s just an opinion. It might be a fact but certainly not the truth.

9)       EXPECT THE BEST BUT BE PREPARED FOR THE WORST.
Blessed are ye when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my name’s sake. Matt 5:11
Learn to see normality in difficult situations. Be calm and calculated in the face of opposition. Understand that for every faith declaration you make, there will always be a test. Faiths always actually qualify you for a test that brings a reward when you pass the test. Let them keep working. So do not let challenges terrify you, but rather, let it challenge you.  When they throw stones at you, pick them up and set them under your feet. The more they throw, the deeper their pit and the higher your pulpit. Mockers build the pulpit upon which kingdom stars launch out into the deep. As they throw their stones at you, they are losing ground, while you are gaining grounds.

10)   UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE IMPORTANT TO THE WORLD, HUMANITY AND TO YOUR GENERATION.
You are the salt of the earth: you are the light of the world. A city set up on a hill that cannot be hid. Matt 5: 13-15

Become conscious of your values and self-worth. As the salt of the earth, you are Elite. You give zest to life. You are so valuable to this generation. If no one values you now, value yourself. Tell yourself, “It is just a matter of time.” The worst that can happen to a man is self-denial. Adam and Eve did not sin only because they ate fruit, no. The real sin was born out of the fact that they denied their true nature. What do I mean? Before God created man, He had a purpose. The purpose for creating man was for him to have dominion or ruler ship on the earth. Man was created in the image and likeness of God, which means that man, had the same moral and spiritual capabilities like God.  Man was therefore created a “god” over the earth. You cannot have these awesome capabilities and live like a nonentity on the earth. No matter what might be happening around you today, you are very important to your generation if you possess the kingdom life. You are a pace setter, path finder, trail blazer, news maker and a world changer.
