DAY 4 — WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4
ENLARGE THE PLACE OF YOUR TENT
Old Testament Reading: Isaiah 54:1–5
New Testament Reading: 2 Corinthians 9:8–11
Memory Verse: Isaiah 54:2
WORDSPIRATION
Expansion requires preparation. It is possible to desire greater influence, resources, and opportunities while remaining unprepared for the responsibilities they bring. Isaiah's instruction to enlarge the tent provides a compelling picture of readiness for growth.
The imagery of stretching curtains, lengthening cords, and strengthening stakes speaks of making room while ensuring stability. Growth without strong foundations can lead to unnecessary pressure and eventual collapse.
In 2 Corinthians 9, Paul explains that God's provision enables generosity and fruitful good works. The purpose of increase is not merely personal accumulation but greater capacity to meet needs and serve others.
For individuals, enlargement may involve acquiring new skills, improving financial discipline, strengthening relationships, or developing better habits. For ministries and organisations, it may involve training leaders, improving systems, and building accountability.
Do not simply pray for a larger tent; strengthen the stakes. Sustainable expansion requires spiritual depth, personal discipline, sound structures, and a heart committed to service.
