God’s original intention for mankind was leadership—dominion over the earth as His representatives (Genesis 1:26). The Kingdom of God is fundamentally about leadership because it is about governance, stewardship, and executing divine purpose. Salvation and redemption are not just about escaping sin; they are a call to leadership—restoring man to his rightful place as a ruler under God’s authority.

Understanding: The Key to Effective Leadership

The sons of Issachar were described as those who "understood the times and knew what Israel ought to do" (1 Chronicles 12:32). This ability to discern seasons and make informed decisions set them apart as key leaders. Leadership without understanding is like a ship without a compass—it drifts aimlessly and eventually crashes.

When man fell, he lost his leadership position, not a religion. The redemption plan through Christ was not just about salvation but about restoring man to his leadership assignment. Jesus is called the King of kings because He came to restore our kingship.
