DAY 5 — THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5

DIVINE WISDOM FOR PRODUCTIVE LIVING

Old Testament Reading: Proverbs 4:5–13
New Testament Reading: James 1:5–8
Memory Verse: James 1:5

WORDSPIRATION

Wisdom is one of the greatest resources available to anyone seeking meaningful progress. It enables us to distinguish between attractive opportunities and worthwhile opportunities, between immediate satisfaction and lasting value.

Proverbs 4 repeatedly urges us to acquire wisdom and understanding. This emphasis reveals that success in life requires more than enthusiasm. It requires sound judgment, teachability, and the ability to apply knowledge appropriately.

James teaches believers to ask God for wisdom. This invitation reminds us that dependence on God should be central to our decision-making. We must also remain willing to learn, seek counsel, and accept correction.

Wisdom becomes particularly important when opportunities multiply. A growing business requires financial discipline; an expanding ministry requires accountable leadership; a developing family requires patience, communication, and responsible planning.

As you pursue prosperity this month, seek wisdom before taking major steps. A wise decision today may protect the opportunities of tomorrow.
